I also like to think so...but when you're literally desperate for money...this dignity that we see in other dramas is not realistic at all. Say she put her foot down and shouted at the Accountant woman....in a xianxia or a wuxia...she might have gained the respect of the emperor and the crown prince cause she's tough and different...but in real life that accountant would have walked straight out of there, got another lawyer( she's def not the only lawyer..theres always someone cheaper and better), and even left her a terrible review.
Would it be worth having her grandma go without medication?....i mean these clients only last for a while, she doesnt have to deal with them forever.

You see how much they meet in court already....if they were dating, he'd have to recuse in a looot of cases or she'd have to recuse....and if he gets promoted to wgere he is in charge of the distric, it would mean she totally cannot in anyway represent anyone in his jurisdiction.
So he would be changing from family court to criminal court, for his sacrifice.
But on his part it wouldnt really be a sacrifice since thats where he actually wants to be...he's at family court as punishment (lesson) but he specially applied to criminal division

Censorship This is being aired on CCTV 1...the biggest channel run by the government in China, that too on the Prime slot so the censorship is like 4times the usual...they really go througg multiple rounds of censorship so they had to change a lot of the dialogue and words during dubbing..nothing to be done there
