Is this like every other shoujo manga turned movie? Yes, but, fortunately, its production saved it from being a failure. That and the leading lady. She was not only very good at her acting, but also her character was easily relatable and very likable. Another plus for this movie was the friendship theme and the love triangle. The mystery behind the boy's first disappearance and then his "past" wasn't that interesting, as it wasn't treated as a mystery at all. However, he kept letting down the girl with no real explanation and that was a little annoying, as he was presented as the bad boy type though he didn't look like it. In addition, towards the end, it started getting boring and the final result was too predictable. That's why, I'm rating this one with 5 out of 10.

Having watched many school slice of life movies, I've got to say that this one follows the same logic as the others. It did remind me of Reply 1997 as well. Also, I loved the sweet innocent romance, as the love story, even though it was full of cliche, it was enjoyable and warm. The performances helped with it as well. The pace was nice, not too fast but not to slow to be tiring and boring. However, the ending was a bit of a disappointment for me. As I've said, after watching many school themed movies, I should have expected this to happen. Few of them had a satisfying ending with a closure or at least a conclusion to the romance. Even though the ending was better than others, and gave some nice touch to the story, it still didn't feel right. Other than that, it was an enjoyable movie.

Overall, not bad, but the romance was kind of so so. Not because they didn't have chemistry; both of the actors were really good with their performances and the love triangle was cute and interesting, without getting too cliche. However, the love story didn't fully developed, or it wasn't presented as well as I would have wanted it to have. But, other than that, the side stories were entertaining, and the small stories for each episode were nice, full of school / slice of life mood. The girl's family story was okay, but they never really dove too deep into it, even though it was kind of clear that she wasn't okay with the whole situation. Nevertheless, the development on that one was nice. The friendship theme and coming of age theme were nice as well and were handled nicely enough.

It's a pity that this drama couldn't support it till the end. Actually, the length was just too much and kind of ruined the whole romance. The small doctor cases were interesting, but small, as the drama didn't really focused on them. Rather, they emphasised more on the love story, which was okay, but more interesting at the begining rather at the end. At first, the two of them were entertaining and funny, with the love triangle growing with a nice pace. However, things got of track towards the end. If the drama was at least two or three episodes shorter, I believe that it would have been better for the story. Finally, the performances were good, though the leading lady was a bit annoying. A good enough drama with twists that even happen till the last episode. The love story was strong, with the friendship overpowering the romance though, which isn't necessary a bad thing. The friendship dynamics actually were pretty good, as well as the chemistry between the actors and the couples. The side story was interesting as well. The martial arts theme was entertaining, moreover. The action scenes were presented really well and looked original and real life and not badly made, so that gave the drama a boost. The past mysteries, in addition, were interesting, but not that thrilling, as they were kind of odd and even if they weren't added, the story would have been the same. Princess Jellyfish was an odd ride. The story is weird, the ending is unconventional, the concept crazy enough, even for a manga based movie. I didn't mind the boy who dressed as a girl, actually, it gave some spice to the story. But, I would have liked to have a better background story for him, like when he started cross dressing, or why. Then, the girls were odd and kind of over the top. I get that they were a sisterhood, but some reactions were too much and turned the movie a little cheesy. The love story, in addition, was okay, but the ending ruined it. Though, that can be seen as a unique feature for the movie, as it didn't follow the romantic comedy pattern and was, that way, more original and definitely more memorable. Finally, the performances were okay and the leading lady cute enough to support the whole project, as well as her cross dressing partner.

Okay, I don't really remember most of the movie. But for what I can recall, it was about a girl who looked like a boy and a boy who looked like a girl. In addition, the boy was conquered by his fellow male classmates, just like the girl, who was in a popular rock band, had lots of female fans who adored her. In a weird way (okay, not so weird for a movie adapted by a manga series), the boy falls for the girl, but the girl isn't that easily convinced. So, the boy does everything to make her like him, including dressing up like a girl and sneaking into her all girls school. So, the movie had some major issues, and not just the obvious gender bender confusion (I mean, okay the boy kind of looked like a girl, but he was all okay with everyone wanting him to be their girlfriend? He obviously wasn't gay, neither were the other boys, at least that's what they claimed, so why he put up with it?). The romance was seriously weak, though it was interesting at first to watch the guy trying to get the girl's attention. Plus, the action was kind of boring, with the jokes not being that funny and some of the scenes trying way to much to resemble a manga. So, 3 out of 10.

A short drama about a celebrity who is facing family problems. And they are not simple ones. Her husband confesses that he is gay and brings home his lover, their son's past tutor, the son is rebelling and falls for his teacher. Plus, her career is on a downfall. The performances were good and the emotions were all over the place, with the son-teacher story stealing the show as it was very touching. The story about the tutor and the big secret was interesting enough. It did felt like the drama ended half way, but then it picked up again and was entertaining through the end. However, it felt like something was lacking. Maybe it was the fact that the plot felt forced, as the twists seemed a little artificial. Finally, the ending was just silly, as they twisted the facts and changed the whole thing. So, 4 out of 10.

The final series of the main drama contains the fantasy element as the other two, but it has some mystery as well. The story is okay, but there were some things that bothered me: first of all, the drama condemned it's leading lady as ugly, when she clearly wasn't. The beauty queen was model like, but still the girl wasn't so ugly. Then the romance was odd. I mean, clearly the guy fell for her looks and wanted to date her because of her appearance. So, wasn't the girl bothered that she was lying to him or that he was falling for someone who wasn't her? Other than that, the drama was good and interesting, with the thrill of the guy finding her out keeping it interesting, though the ending was weak, as the story was roughly concluded. So, 5 out of 10.

Even though the producers is a short drama (only twelve episodes!) and most of the story is occupied by the variety shows and the mentions of the celebrities that were currently the talk of the city, the rest of the drama was satisfying enough. The main story is the struggles of a rookie PD who works on a sinking variety show. Now, the romance was so-so, but, thankfully, it developed the way I wanted it to develop ( I can't describe it better as I'll give away too many spoilers). Anyway, the chemistry between the rookie PD and his senior wasn't that good in order for the drama to have a strong romantic vibe. But I did loved the female leads performance, even though the rookie PD was a little awkward and I would have liked for him to have done a better job if possible. IU was okay, but I haven't watched her yet on other dramas so I don't know if she can do better. Another thing that bothered me was the constant mentions on variety shows and celebs. I knew some of them, so I could keep up, but if someone didn't, I think it would have been awkward for him to watch this drama, though it wouldn't effect the main plot or made it difficult to keep up. But, all in all, I did enjoy the multiple stories that overlapped one another and the drama was entertaining enough to keep the interest high till the end. So, 6 out of 10.
