The AUDACITY of her father - because he was her father her whole life - to act sad she's leaving after having her BEATEN just for being born! This guy is truly the worst father to all of his children, and an indifferent uncle to his nieces and nephews. Except for Yining, they had awful mothers, but at least their mothers actually love them and want the best for them even if they go about it in awful, scheming ways. This guy is like "if you're useless to me, you might as well not exist".

At least General Ying seems to actually care and want to BE a father.

I'm loving this actor while watching Kill Me Love Me. Does anyone know if the novel ends happy for this one? I know there's no guarantee the drama will be the same especially since it sounds like they change a lot, but still it's helpful to know.

There is NO WAY a character shown to be as intelligent and strategic as Loumei believes the Crown Prince's BS. She already suspected, that's why she asked Jinghe if the CP was responsible for what happened to him. And he said "I think you already know." She is 100% planting herself at the CP's side to spy on him and keep him from killing Jinghei and stealing the throne. We'll just have to be patient and watch how this plays out.

Truly, the CP is the most disgusting type of villain. The way he used that incense to manipulate Loumei is a whole new low. I despise him so much and can't wait until he finds out she's playing him.

OMG, we are on episode 24 you guys, and SHE STILL DOESN'T KNOW! This is killing me. Every time she is mad at him and they talk and he stares at her with his heart in his eyes and she professes her undying love to him AS HIS SISTER, I die a little bit inside. When does she find out? Someone who has read the novel, spoil me. Because MY GOD. These scenes where they fight because they care so much about each other and then talk it out and make up would have an entirely different context if she just knew!

I'm sorry about my rant, lol, but this episode about killed me with everything that happened and THEIR FEELINGS. And then even after she finds out, we have to have a decent amount of time for her to process and transition to romantic love, right? So how many episodes are we going to get of them BEING IN LOVE?

Don't get me wrong. I am invested. I love this drama. But I'm ready for there to really be "no more secrets" between them. Speaking of which, do you think his hand clench at the end was because he was reacting to her telling him? Like we didn't get to actually hear it?

Just finished ep 19: I feel so sorry for Xuan! All that kid wants is to please his father and his family, and yet he has a scheming mother and sister who end up "helping" him to the point of sabotage at every turn, and a father he can't ever do enough to please, to the point where he has panic attacks from the pressure. That boy needs a new family.

Completely agree! I LOVE the intensity of Kill Me Love Me, but I also love the slower pace and more meticulous family drama of this show. They make a great contrast. I think they are probably helping each other out by airing at the same time.

No, they are not related. She has a different father, though they don't know it at first. The father treats him horribly because he was the mistake that happened after a drunken night with a maid who snuck into his room. The father can't bear the shame of it, or something.

Yeah, I felt so bad for him, too! At that moment, I could actually believe the father is a villain.

I'm ready for her to find out they aren't related! Don't get me wrong, sometimes a nice slow paced drama like this is good. And it makes a nice contrast right now for the much more intense Kill Me Love Me that I'm also watching. But. When he was comforting her this episode, I'm like....anyone who sees the way he looks at her or touches her is going to think "Whoa. That seems....awkward." He's doing a good job of overtly restraining his feelings, but it's obvious anyway.

Also, kudos to the actor. He's can really sell emotion with his eyes. The way he looked at her in front her mother's memorial scroll? Again, anyone walking in on them would feel like it was awkward! 😂

Right?? I think it's very sweet that Allen Ren wants to stay faithful to his wife, if that's why they did that, but come on....just a kiss? One? Is that too much to ask? LOL.

I loved that LoN was a REAL enemies to lovers! When the ML met the FL, he was completely lost in his need to get justice for his people and his father and sister. He was willing to sacrifice anyone to achieve that goal, even people he cared about. And the SML kept dangling the FL out there as bait and then the FL kept interfering in his plans. It made perfect sense why he kept trying to kill her. (I will say that third time, I was physically uncomfortable! It was an intense scene.) It wasn't until the old couple sacrificed themselves right in front of him that the ML and the FL both gained a different perspective. Him, about the choices he was making for the people around him, and her about who he was to inspire such loyalty in people. I thought the writers and actors and everyone did an amazing job of the characters growing and changing slowly, and their relationship changing as they did. It was so well done. I just wish we'd gotten ONE real kiss, and that the ending had been happier. So much suffering and tension and angst and longing deserves more, lol.

RIGHT?? I am still bitter they didn't give us an epilogue! Seriously, 1 minute. I mean, longer would have been nice, but just 1 minute would have been enough.

LoN...one of the best true enemies to lovers I've ever seen, the way they did the progression from him genuinely trying to kill her to them being in love. Even once I found out it ended sad, I kept watching, and normally that's a DNF for me.

I have high hopes now that this drama will be one I can say I love without reservations if it keeps a happy ending. IF. After TTEOTM, I'm always skeptical, lol.

OMG, thank you so much! I was afraid this was going to be another Til the End of the Moon situation....40 episodes of angst and heartbreak and tension, only to end in tragedy.

WAIT. I'm still not over LoN. Does this one end sad, too???? Why do all of the good enemies to lovers end sad??? NO. I already love this one. Please tell me it has a happy ending.

Just started this drama, and I'm going to be an unpopular opinion, I guess, because I actually found FL's voice cute. IDK, I just came off the very serious drama Love of Nirvana, so I took an immediate liking to the different tone this FL gives this drama, and also liked that she's smart and perceptive. LOVED the meet cute for the leads, and hoping they find out VERY early on they are not related.

I will add, since it's been brought up and compared, Orchid's voice in LBFaD bothered the HECK out of me for the first several episodes, but Esther Yu made her less cutesy as the drama went on and Orchid grew and matured. I powered through those early eps and am SO glad I did! It remains one of my favorite dramas.

I was invested by the time I knew and had to watch it. I don't regret watching it. They do give you a little something at the end. And it's still the best enemies-to-lovers I've seen in a LONG time. But I have a lot of feelings about it, and I'm just not ready to go through it again.

Look, I'm still not over Love of Nirvana. This looks so good but everything points to a tragic ending. The synopsis pretty much says it. I don't think I can do another tragedy right now.

Yes! the whole time he was "marrying" her while she was asleep, I was thinking "WTH?? Wake her up! This scene would be so much better if you guys did that together."

And same, I don't need a bunch of skinship. But how about at least one heartfelt confession and true happy moment together?
