Completely agree! Your idea wouldve been so much better. I was also very put off when in episode 2 Type insults Tharns dad, Tharn gets angry and holds him down. He says 'I just want to help you relax' and starts to feel up Type meanwhile Type is crying and asking to be let go and saying don't, which leads to Type being triggered about his past. And then Tharn has the audacity to stop and asks if he is ohkay. I was like seriously! You are literally proving what he already believes. I kind of hate that they glossed over that bit.
I'm also disappointed that they gave Lhong his own mini backstory episode. I dont plan to watch it but it annoys me. There is nothing they can put in that will make me sympathize with him after everything he did, especially to Tar. The small amount of time they gave him in the finale and special was already too much for me. In my opinion if anyone should've gotten a mini backstory episode it should've been Tar. So much happened to him and we barely hear about it. It would've been nice to get a backstory or something set after the events of the series or special.
I do love this series, but certain changes could've made it more amazing!
