Big Impact in Short Episodes

Is it normal for such short episodes to make you feel so much emotion?
It was enough that the first episodes were short, but I especially wanted it to slow down a little more towards the last episodes. It would be unbeatable if there was just one more episode. The way he handled emotions made me feel like I was watching a Japanese drama.
The only thing I can say negatively is that what I typically dislike in most k-dramas is that the kisses are shown as lips touching each other. Looking for a French kiss in K-dramas is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

The Triumph of the Second Couple Compared to the First Couple

The initial episodes of the series are enjoyable and engaging. After a while, following the first couple becomes entertaining as well. It seems that generating a storyline for the scriptwriter became challenging after the first couple became a couple, as we start to witness a forced plot, making the series less interesting. Especially towards the end, I found myself fast-forwarding through scenes involving the initial couple.

I absolutely loved the second couple in the series. In fact, the reason I started watching this series was because I had seen a scene of the second couple on TikTok. For the first time in a BL series, I saw that the story of the second couple was much better than that of the first couple. The introduction, development, and conclusion - everything about their story was well-executed. They even managed to skillfully tie up the absurd and nonsensical events related to the first couple. Even now, thinking about scenes with the second couple makes butterflies flutter in my stomach.

First Episodes Worth Watching. Good Scenes and Distracting Elements

After the 6th episode, the series acted as if it was the 2nd season, but this is not the main problem. In the second half of the series, it started to repeat every event and scene that was beautiful in the first half in a more mediocre way. If I had to, I would only watch the first 1-6 episodes because they are worth watching. There are some very beautiful scenes that stay in my mind, I love this series for those scenes (room fight and lift etc.).

Since I watched less scenes of Pat's retarded, unevolved friends, whom I hated and fast-forwarded their scenes, I am examining the series from the more BL part. Again, these unnecessary people were tolerable in the first episodes, hated in the middle, and towards the end it seemed that normalisation had begun. I didn't watch the continuation anyway

Tavsiyeye gerek yok, BL dünyasında zaten bu puanı almış bir yapımı izleyin. Herkesin bildiğini bilmemek ayıp olur.

Good use of clichés. Quick Acceptance and Inconsistency.

The most important thing I care about in BL series is that the increase in the feelings of the characters for each other is embroidered and the audience is made to feel it. This series started really well, even with the strange behaviour of the character Thi, I generally enjoyed the first episodes. Since the series was generally good, I watched the first 8 episodes with great expectations and excitement. However, it did not meet my expectations with the description of love and BL part in the 8th episode and beyond.

----Spoiler-----

The thing that tore me away from the series, which I hate in most BLs, is the nonsense of falling in love at once. I want the love to slowly flare up and grow inside the characters and explode when it is no longer controllable.

Another thing I hate is when Noey says "actually you are better, I want you now" overnight and suddenly starts flirting.
Accepting being gay so quickly and acting like it's normal is nothing but "I'm only gay for you" bullshit.

This story could have been much more passionate and exciting by using the storytelling in the first episodes.

For example, in this series, Noey should have started to have feelings for Thi from the very first moment. In fact, all the signs he saw around him should have pointed to Thai and Noey should have realised this slowly.
If Noey's story was like this:
He realised that he was falling in love in a platonic way.
If he had run away in fear of the growing love within him (here he should be cold to Thi)
Then, if he couldn't escape his increasingly intense feelings and got closer to Thi and used everything around him as an excuse for this rapprochement, this series would be legendary.
Yes, it looks like clichés from a distance, but this series proved to us that it can handle clichés really well in the first 5 episodes. And there is also a reason why clichés are clichés.

AS ANOTHER WORD: This series hooked me very well with the first 7 episodes. Of course, there were scenes with nonsense and exaggerations, but hey, no one is looking for the perfect BL here. But we have seen a lot of BL similar to this style. the first half is good and the second half goes downhill, but still unforgettable.
But unfortunately I don't think this drama will be memorable because of Thi's character's inconsistent behaviour and undevelopable personality. In a series, if the cute character (uke in webtoon language) is not endearing enough to the audience (it can be endearing even if it is very aggressive, annoying), that series is not remembered much.

The Lost Magic. Is Gender Surprise an Asset or a Hindrance?

Wouldn't this story be much better if Go Eun Chan was really a boy? At some point, the fact that she was a girl even started to upset me. Choi Han Gyul's self-doubt and secretly growing love was the most enjoyable part of this drama.

The second couple did not interest me at all from the beginning to the end (I fast-forwarded most of their scenes or I would have fallen asleep)

In the first episodes, the warm family environment, good acting and real life events made me feel very peaceful.

Our couple's chemistry was much better when I thought Choi Han Gyul's Go Eun Chan was a boy. When I found out that she was a girl, the chemistry between them decreased. If only they had made him feel that the man actually liked Go Eun Chan's masculine, free, relaxed characters, then it wouldn't really make a difference that she was a girl. But when it was revealed that she was a girl, it made me feel like all the magic was broken.

Oh the endless long chapters. I remember I stopped at some point.

And another thing that drove me crazy was that food was eaten in almost every scene. At some point I started to feel nauseous. I do not recommend watching it on a full stomach. I felt like the cliché of the female lead eating exaggerated food in k-dramas started with this production.

A series that pretends to be very deep but isn't.

It was very promising at the beginning. You like the student immediately. sweet, harmonious, cute, he reacts exactly like a real person, everything is good. I can't say the same for the author. I didn't like his acting, something annoying kept bothering me from the back of my mind and I still tried to like him, or at least understand him. Then, did our student suddenly fall in love? What happened, why did it happen? Is it just because he writes +18 articles, hey, when writing, especially when writing what you are told without thinking, you have to focus at least 50% on writing (grammar, etc.). I eagerly waited for that love to be woven into the loops. it was a disappointment for me.
The author failed to depict the character effectively. What I mean is, even if a character is grumpy, annoying, or even foolish, if portrayed well, you can grow to love them. It's like loving an irritating sibling, it somehow happens.
At the end of the day, the score given on the site is really deserved.
I don't want to talk about it too much. I will forget it soon.
