😂 I'm so undecided b/c I'm afraid if I read the novel first it might make me like the drama less than I would've if I hadn't read it yet but if half the drama doesn't follow the novel then you're right, it would just depend on what drama experience I want🤔. I don't think people forget minors get casted but b/c they get casted it kinda gets normalized so people think it's ok. Brad kissing 11 yo is easier to accept as problematic b/c the issue was visibly obvious to the audience. Ethical issues are pervasive in the industry, globally not just in USA, which is why there are so many examples. The issue wasn't the cast/crew themselves as people rather the ethical issue lies in the casting of a minor opposite an adult actor.

I agree people shouldn't prematurely make assumptions about the drama. The casting choice is actually a valid ethical issue though, regardless of what ends up airing. It's understandable why the focus was on what the audience would see however, the issue is complex and involves multiple factors in addition to the visible drama scenes. Thankfully it was tastefully done and at least there wasn't any kissing
