CD's back story made me bawl my eyes out 😭. Her story is as tragic as FBB's. Also, there are some parallels to their qi's being weird. BB's qi is colourless and endless and CD's qi ( her unique poison) is formless and defies all laws of nature. There were periods in their life they didn't know how to be human. CJ was such a sweetheart, he inspired CD to learn to be a human so much. Mr Liao seemed to be good person too who really cared about people. Its really mysterious what led to CD killing Mr Liao. Or was it really someone else who did it.
I'm so glad ZQ defeated his inner demon when MXH tempted him with the divine forge, one of the eight supreme techniques. It was interesting that ZQ mentioned he mastered all the skills of 4 pillars in less than 7 years but couldn't master the Qimen manipulation completely, yet WY learned half of it and mastered the Qimen manipulation technique. I remember WY's master in the last season said that WY mastered it because he didn't want it desperately. He wasn't attached to gains or losses that's one of requirements that is not to be greedy for it. ZQ always wanted it therefore didn't master it completely, only when he clears his heart of greed/obsessions will he be able to reach WY's level.
MXH is a total nut job with his twisted sense of equality for everyone😑 thinking he is saint, he is extemely calculative and manipulative. He even put cracks in WY's and ZG's friendship bond. Pretending he was just checking what kind of people they both were, he deepened ZQ's resentment towards WY, for changing his fate and then fanned his desire to defeat WY by showing him that he can restrain 7 people with his Qimen manipulation technique. Then playing mind games with him that he was only interested in WY, how he defeated him in the outsiders contest. He very cleverly deepened his inferiority complex. I was so sad when ZG told WY to stop trying to change people's fate because he has no right. Poor WY was left shocked, he only interferes because he cares about people and when sees great danger for people. After all, MXH is a stubborn lunatic who is either going to destroy himself or the world. Something needs to be done about it.
