Its not pure romance. Since it has multiple main leads and a lot of supporting characters, the ML and FL don't get 99% of screen time like in pure romance dramas but i find their chemistry very adorable and loving. All the character share the focus and time to develop the plot perfectly. For the sad ending its mixed they gave us extra ep to make us feel better. There is a triangle of fl between 2 mls. But other guy does not try too hard to get her and gives up for her happiness with the other ml

I don't want to break anyone's fantasy bubble and don't know what will come later in this drama, but I have to be clear that HMH hasn't done any deeply romantic released dramas. All his dramas are either non romantic or very slow burn romantic . In some of his romantic dramas, you would get only 1 kiss between him and FL towards the end of the drama š . However, he is making very deeply romantic new drama with lots kisses currently.

Yes I agree. I'm watching other recently airing chinese dramas too and unfortunately the female leads in these romance dramas( who have 100% of the story focus and character limelight) aren't even spared bashing and slandering. All the anti fans are targeting just the poor FLs not the MLs at all. This behaviour is bullying not free speech. This kind of behaviour is abhorant and unacceptable.
I just know I am getting cancelled for this but since that has never scared me and every one is free to share…
I understand your concern and opinion however if we look at each character that way, we would be holding a protest for each character š !
Firstly this isĀ a drama with many main leads, supporting characters and guest roles (unlike most romance dramas where there is mostly 1 male lead and 1 female lead and hardly any other main leads.) . In such dramas the writer has to give each character appropriate time, lines and role according to the story unlike usual dramas where male and female leads have 99% focus and story. I have seen each and every character in fof at times they do not have limelight because its others time to be focused on according to story development plot. In blood of youth and i am nobody and dashing youth (which are also HMH dramas). Many main characters did not had the limelight all the time just to themselves. They all shared the story little or more according to the need of the story. They had slow character developments as there were many characters who were developing side by side.
In this kind of drama the whole story is made by partial contribution by every character according to the need of the plot. In my opinion in Fof each characterĀ Ā had amazing roles, shared storyline and they nailed it perfectly.Ā Each character including WX and ZYZ had significantĀ but slow character development.
I donāt mean any harm but do MDL ratings really matter that much? In my personal opinion, people shouldnāt…
Also ratings matter to people who love the drama. People who watched it, loved it and think its worth watching, want other people who have the same taste to come and watch it too. The ratings help do that. I myself am always attracted to highly rated dramas to try them. But at times I rarely give shot to airing dramas only if I'm already looking forward to them or there is enough hype about it.
