ZCL at first looked like he was trying sincerely to convince MXH that he shouldn't fall out with company, using his tie as being his Uncle too. But when MXH left advising him not to get in his way because he doesn't want to hurt him, ZCL seemed touched by his honesty then suddenly back to being shameless saying I am going to feel sorry destroying your refining furnace😂💯
WY deliberately stopped ZQ from saying he has already surrendered by stuffing his mouth with mud and giving him beating of his life that he deserved👌😆. He didn't let him change sides conveniently. Its good that ZQ understood between MXH and WY that only WY was his true and close friend. WY not knowing what actually happened (ZQ has already defeated his inner demon) to ZQ still noticed positive change in ZQ's behaviour. ZQ seems to know divine crafts so he is able to help ZCL find the refining furnace.

XZZ is truly frightening person yet he has funny side to him. I'm glad he found salvation despite having psychopathic tendencies and wants to stop others from crossing the bottom-line too.
Overall, it's very exciting to see all of temporary workers(special agents) and friends working strategically and cleverly to protect the villagers, fight the rogue outsiders and then locate and destroy the soul refining furnace.
ZCL has always been clever, witty and bold. In this season he has become more insightful and is being very strategic. He knows company's shortcomings but he can also see how MXH is using their faults to mislead and manipulate people and outsiders to his advantage. His advice to MHX is very important. He rightfully reminded him that he is overestimating himself, he does have weaknesses and faults and his actions can bring dire and irreversable consequences to the outsider world. Looks like ZCL intends to protect CD along with FBB. They will all have to fight in solidarity, putting their differences aside to stop this chaos stirred by MXH and the ill intentioned headquarter board members.

If you look at the statistics of title ratings its between 8.5 to 10. Also, separate episode rating are above 9.8 too. But since there are less people watching it currently, the algorithm is affecting rating. Possible reason is people not knowing that its airing already. Youku didn't successfully or sufficiently advertise it to the target audience. Many people on YouTube and Tiktok are flabbergasted that its airing already and they don't know where to watch it. Secondly, it's not available on netflix like last time yet.
Also, when its airing rating fluctuates drastically. It would settle in a month or two after it stops airing.

Its better to watch S1 to know more about the BGs of the main characters and the overall plot. Also, they make references to some of the events that occurred in S1. However, its possible to understand S2's sub plot without S1.

It can only be a way to make him understand something. In one of the character descriptions released by youku, LZ actor said both him and CD were born in fate they couldn't control and they were very lonely people so they were very similar.
