I keep wondering how you all manage to watch 8 episodes of WonderFools when each episode is 1h30, *and* still have time for the new episodes of Perfect Crown and My Royal Nemesis all in the same day 😭

Do you guys take the day off or something? And does the drama come out in the morning for you? Because for me, WonderFools was released around 4–5 PM. If I watch all 8 episodes straight, I’d probably finish around 2–3 AM — and that’s *with* breaks to eat, shit, shower, etc. 😂😂

So by the time I finish the K-drama, it’s already like 3–4 AM, and then I still have to watch the new episodes of Perfect Crown and My Royal Nemesis. At that point I’m basically not sleeping at all that day 😭

Well, I’ve watched 4 episodes so far. I’ll finish the rest today, but honestly this kind of drama is so bad. I’m bored 90% of the time, but I keep watching because there’s an actress I really like 😭

My brother and sister-in-law showed up at my place, so watching a K-drama became impossible. They literally killed my whole day. 😂😂😂

The WonderFools — Character Descriptions

Park Eun-bin as
Eun Chae-ni
About the Character

Chae-ni is a 27-year-old woman known as the town’s walking disaster in Haeseong. Born with a congenital heart condition and raised under the watchful care of her grandmother, she has never truly experienced the world beyond her hometown.

When she learns that her condition has become terminal, Chae-ni comes up with a plan to fake her own kidnapping in order to collect ransom money from her grandmother and finally complete her bucket-list travels.

However, everything goes horribly wrong at the local landfill where the scheme takes place. Chae-ni accidentally dies… only to wake up with teleportation powers and a superhuman heart that refuses to let her stay dead.

The girl who could never go anywhere suddenly has the entire world open before her. But this time, she chooses to protect the town she once desperately wanted to leave.

Cha Eun-woo as
**Lee Un-jeong**
About the Character

At first glance, Un-jeong appears to be the perfect civil servant: calm, reserved, and strictly rule-abiding. But behind his composed exterior lies a man with powerful telekinetic abilities.

Mysteriously connected to the town of Haeseong, he spends his free time searching for someone from his past in hopes of escaping his traumatic history and finding his biological mother.

A natural lone wolf, Un-jeong prefers working alone — until Chae-ni and her friends unintentionally pull him into their mission.

Choi Dae-hoon as
Son Gyeong-hun
About the Character

Gyeong-hun is a well-meaning man who relies heavily on his wife, the owner of a flower shop. Between his harmless lies and constant blunders, he spends most of his days at city hall filing complaints about phenol leaks from a toxic landfill.

He agrees to help Chae-ni stage her fake kidnapping in exchange for a cut of the ransom money, but the plan quickly spirals out of control at the very landfill he has spent years protesting against.

After the accident, he develops a bizarre karmic superpower: whenever he lies, his hands stick to anything he touches — and they will not come loose until he tells the truth.

Im Seong-jae as
**Kang Ro-bin**
About the Character

Despite his intimidating size, Ro-bin is probably the kindest person in town. He works in the kitchen of Chae-ni’s grandmother’s restaurant and is also Chae-ni’s only true friend.

As an accomplice in the fake kidnapping, he gains superhuman strength after the accident. However, there is one catch: his powers only activate when his feelings get hurt… which happens surprisingly often.

Kim Hae-sook as
**Kim Jeon-bok**
About the Character

Strict yet deeply caring, Jeon-bok is Chae-ni’s grandmother and the owner of a well-known restaurant.

What Chae-ni does not know is that her grandmother is also a powerful local businesswoman who once served as the main financial backer of the mysterious Hawondo Laboratory, originally built on the site of the current landfill.

Haunted by her involvement in the laboratory’s past, Jeon-bok quietly keeps watch over the former victims of its experiments.

Son Hyun-joo as
Ha Won-do
About the Character

Ha Won-do is a brilliant yet dangerous scientist who founded a cutting-edge laboratory dedicated to creating humans with superhuman abilities known as the *Wunderkinders*.

When the true purpose of his experiments is exposed, the laboratory is shut down and Won-do is sentenced to twenty years in prison.

After his release, he reunites with the surviving test subjects who have faithfully waited for the return of the man they call their “father.” Now, he searches for a long-lost patient from his past — the masterpiece he believes will unlock the secret to immortality.

Jeong E-suh as
Seok Ju-ran
About the Character

Ju-ran is one of the *Wunderkinders*, a loyal group of surviving test subjects who spent years waiting for Ha Won-do’s return so he could finish what he started.

As the side effects of the experiments continue to worsen, they desperately hope Won-do can finally create a cure.

Ju-ran possesses the ability to manipulate people’s minds through her voice.

Choi Yoon-ji as
Seok Ho-ran

About the Character
Ho-ran has the power to project the fantasy worlds she creates onto the people around her.

Using vivid hallucinations and illusions, she conceals Won-do’s laboratory to keep law enforcement from uncovering the truth.

Bae Na-ra as
**Kim Pal-ho**
About the Character

Kim Pal-ho, one of the *Wunderkinders*, possesses the ability to manipulate gravity.

I can’t believe I didn’t know that Choi Yoon Ji, the fairy from Love Take Two, was in this drama. She’s so beautiful — I totally have a crush on her 🤭

I wouldn’t have thought the episodes would be that long. Some of them are like 1 hour and 10 minutes long.

I really love this kind of mystery/money K-drama. It reminds me of Law Life, which I absolutely loved, even though this one isn’t about the sea it’s also about money.

Damn, was this drama written by an amateur? I’ve never seen this many K-drama clichés packed into one single show. And what’s the point of this breakup in episode 8 like in 90% of dramas, just for them to end up together anyway?

Props to them for getting me hooked. Damn, I should’ve dropped this drama after episode 2 — I already knew it was gonna be something mid at best, and now here I am stuck on episode 8, committed until the end. I gave it a 5.5/10 for now, but I’ll wait until the finale before rating it properly.

Namkoong Min / Lee Seol reunion one year after *Our Movie* — I’m so excited, I absolutely loved their chemistry. But honestly, I’m not a fan of Lee Seol’s hairstyle.

Why does makeup sometimes match well in MLs? I even wonder how Ahn Hyo-seop can have such fair skin, yet sometimes his makeup looks terrible.
