The whole industry in thailand is too make an adaptation of novels. So if you dont want that than go to any other country. Go watch cdramas, jdramas, kdramas or western dramas BUT GUESS WHAT they all have adaptations of shows abd books.
Books arent just made for reading they are made to have visual representations of them HENCE why they sell their books to organisations to get adaptations of their craft, as they care about relevence and money which they get from adaptations.

I agree with you on that they make unecessary remakes BUT most of the time they have low budget and mess it up, THIS however is like f4 thailand. F4 has been named one of the best adaptations due to its storyline, acting etc. It has high budget and was the most anticipated drama in gmm hence them taking 2 years to make the show. This is like that as it is the most anticipated gmm show and has a very high budget higher than any other one. It has taken them a year to make a good script and this has been in the works since f4 days.
