That film is Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam! and OMFG IF THAT HAPPENS...'HOLY SH*T' is all I have to say.

All Wednesday I was racking my brain as to how I'd be satisfied by the end of this series if/when Taekyung is with Shinwoo and Daon's out. The Namgoong/Daon ship must sail! If only in my dreams!

I'd love that and Sohee would literally explode from grief and jealousy.

I love all the cute, quasi-romantic moments between Shinwoo and Taekyung just as much as the next person, but I haven't seen a male lead in a BL be so categorically friendzoned since Theory of Love. When Taekyung asks if Shinwoo has ever opened up again and Shinwoo looks at him like "Are you f***ing blind?!" only for Taekyung to give him his classic blank stare like, "👁👄👁.....yep!" That gutted me so bad. It was funny, but damn. lol Shinwoo is doing his best to be the best boy, but he's still only on his way to being Shin's best friend until he makes it plain to Taekyung. Shinwoo's feelings and the fact that he 'deserves' to be with Taekyung aside for a minute. In addition to Taekyung not realizing that Shinwoo likes him, we also don't seem to have gotten any significant indicator that Taekyung is or would be interested in Shinwoo romantically even if he did confess. I know, I know. The fates have long since willed it so, but still...

Daon *sigh*...Now after a dozen steps in the wrong direction for everyone's sake but his own, he's ending up with a lost first love to his best friend (of all people) and flat out betrayal from a person who seemingly loved him more than he loved himself at times. T R A G E D Y. If his finding out So-hee's a total cockroach finally spurs him into action, I'll be happy that he's asserting himself, but I don't think that means he should end up with Taekyung and that sucks because he should get to be happy, but when you hurt people, they're hurt and Taekyung's hurt. :(

I'm comparing based on feedback I saw on social media (twitter, ig, youtub, mdl, etc.) during the time that both series were airing. The main complaints about 2gether was that Bright's acting was stiff and that the chemistry didn't seem to be there. The plot of 2gether wasn't generally perceived as bad, but it wasn't terribly exciting either. For TT on the other hand, people thought they did a good job showing the extreme emotions of the characters. The plot, while everyone seems to agree was toxic, was also intense and had more things going on. Lastly, the chemistry between Mew and Gulf is largely perceived as the best thing about this show. For some people, as you can see through many of the comments here, it's the *only* thing good about the show.

I guess yeah, I think 2gether is more 'sweet and loveable', but I don't think TT was trying to be a sweet and lovable series at all.

Better acting, more eventful plot, and actual chemistry between the leads that felt more romantic than platonic. Those are the first three reasons I think of.

Nah he didn't throw him under the bus at all, really. The teacher asked if he was dating Takeyung. He said, "no" and that's true. The added "I was just being nice to him because he was new" isn't a half-truth, but not a full blown lie. Him saying "It's not like that" to a group of people sh*t-talking him also isn't throwing Taekyung under the bus either. The rumor is: Daon is gay and he's dating Taekyung. 1) Nobody's obligated to know your sexual identity until you're ready and 2) he isn't dating Taekyung.

I don't think Daon deserves much of any of this, really. He has no support from his family, but he has the obligation of holding up their reputation at the school. Right when he starts to realize he's gay, he has the guy who loves him, but he's completely overwhelmed by him and Sohee aggressively stalking him. Take all that and add being outed to the entire school. So what if he had been quick about being open with everyone about liking Tae? He would still end up in the same position which is: about to have every other aspect of his life ruined.

Tbh this is why I'm conflicted about how this could possibly end. If it's Shinwoo/Taekyung then it sucks because Daon not only realizes his sexuality, but also realizes his first love (Taekyung) only to be outed to the entire school and his best friend (Shinwood) gets the guy (and Taekyung liked Daon first to begin with) . If it's Daon/Taekyung (which I don't think it is), then Shinwoo's character will have ultimately served very little purpose other than distraction.

We still have quite a few episodes to go though, so I don't wanna speculate too much since there's still a lot of room for my opinions to change.

There was so much going on in LBC that, even though his role wasn't that minor, it's not totally surprising that you would have forgotten him. The only reason I do is because I think the actor who he was coupled with was really cute and because of how f'ed up their story arc was.

That seems like a sound decision.

There's almost no doubt in my mind that we'll be seeing more of that actor and I'm looking forward to it.

After next week's finale, I think we all should just quietly forget this show ever happened. With other BL out right now like Light On Me, Given, and The Yearbook, it shouldn't be too hard.

Not as long as I'd like it to have been and the writing wasn't that good, but still a decent movie (in terms of cp chemistry and acting skills) with very few lulls throughout. The romantic scenes were very steamy too. This movie deserves at least two sequels imo.

Yep. Shinwoo us already been through at least somewhat of the trauma both Daon and Taekyung are facing now. Both of them need him so much right now, even if in different ways,

For me personally, I’m not invested in this series for romance’s sake, but for the development of all the characters. Sohee’s awful, but I want to see her learn (also suffer). Namgoong s everything right and I want to see him not only get a good ending, but the BEST ending. The teacher kickstarted this whole thing by wanting Taekyung to be more friendly and has been giving sound advice along the way, so I’d like to see some of that come to fruition. Daon is having every confused (not even “in the closet”, but properly confused) gay high school kid’s crisis topped with being student class president (in senior year), being the popular guy AND the son of rich investors. Gay kids face ridiculous rates of abandonment and/or suicide, so I’m just hoping for any sort of breakthrough with him. Shinwoo has experienced all the trauma and the goal is clear for him, but he hasn’t asserted himself enough to be worth Taekyung’s attention yet. Shinwoo deserves happiness and the guy he likes, but let’s make the guy he likes (TK) actually realize that in some way…any way. Finally, Taekyung. He’s paper. Nothing well hidden.. about him. The only glimpse of a deeper personality we get about him is through Namgoong’s questions to him. Other than that, he’s floundering (in my opinion), but I still want closure for him, if for no other reason than extreme curiosity.

It’s not about Daon/Taekyung or Shinwoo/Taekyung endgame, it’s about seeing if and how all these characters are going to achieve something/reach a point of peace before the series is over.
