I still can't believe what I've just watched. I know we're used to the 11th episode always being sad and chaotic…
Even if there were going to be a second season, did we really need a whole 12-episode setup?? lol I was only half on-board with this show at first, then it got better and suddenly around ep 7 or 8 stuff just stopped happening and it got boring.
So Hee is intelligent and she is very attentive to Da On. She doesn't lie, but she was wrong when she said she…
"Is DO's sincerity is questionable. Is DO treating everyone the same, or is TK more significant?" Before ep 7, I was a little more even given to both of the possibilities, but now I think it's more of the latter.
"I think SW mostly has been fearful of TK developing a one-way crush on DO, rather than thinking DO likes TK." Now that's interesting! and makes me want to second guess his reasons for being interested in Taekyung at all. Shinwoo hasn't actually spent any significant period of time having a casual conversation or really getting to know Taekyung at all. So, where's this will to fight for him coming from? Maybe it is the worry of Taekyung having a one-way crush on Daon.
I don't know if North Koreans are as vulnerable to rain as S. Koreans, but I'm thinking we could have won the…
I think it might be an East Asian thing, especially in the northern part. I live in northern China and even in the summer, people treat getting caught in the rain almost like a guaranteed hospital visit. I’m from a very hot, almost tropical climate and during spring and summer, we’d actually go out and play in the rain as kids.
So Hee is intelligent and she is very attentive to Da On. She doesn't lie, but she was wrong when she said she…
HI, thanks for the reply! ^_^ You wrote four bits, so I'll number the responses that way.
1) She may not know exactly everything, but more so than most it would seem. Regarding his family issues, no one really seems to except Taekyung rn...somewhat). Personally, I don't think Taekyung necessarily understands Daon more and that's what makes Sohee upset, I think it's that Daon treats Taekyung in a caring and tentative way that he doesn't treat her and he doesn't understand why he does and that frustrates her a lot. I do agree with you loving how straightforward Taekyung and Sohee are together though!
2) I meant that Sohee was content with pursuing him and him never really accepting her. As long as he didn't have another object of affection, she was content with just being around him in any capacity. She may have been working angles and none of them have been working out and she didn't seem too beat up about it until she started to notice Daon caring for Taekyung.
3) No, no, no. I said that from *Daon's perspective* it could seem like Shinwoo's coming out of nowhere with this affection toward Taekyung, not from our perspective as viewers. In this episode, we see Daon walk back up to the table and he sees Shinwoo giving Taekyung the napkin to wipe his face. This is basically the first time we see Daon realize that Shinwoo has a thing for Taekyung. The only person up until know who'd actually caught onto that was Namjoon because he "knows everything". Before, Daon actually encouraged Taekyung and Shinwoo to run errands together and gave Taekyung advice on how to be more friendly with Shinwoo because he probably genuinely wanted them to be friends...because Daon wants everyone to be friends...because Daon is basically Barney as a Korean teen. lol All the times when Shinwoo asserted himself in an obvious way like: telling Taekyung not to go look for Daon to give him his backpack, telling Taekyung to come to karaoke with them, tying Taekyung's shoes for him, and maybe a couple others I'm forgetting, Daon wasn't around to see. The only obvious one he was around to see was when Shinwoo kept taking the boxes from Taekyung to help him, but that turned into a argument between the two, so that wouldn't have been obvious to him.
4) I covered the response to this one in paragraph three, but yeah. The character development's great.
Anyone notice the keychain Shinwoo was looking at is the same keychain in the ending animation? Same with the…
Yeah and for a split second, the camera moves to behind where Taekyung is standing as he's looking at the bracelet. So, I feel like Shinwoo may end up buying it and gifting it to him.
Can we all just appreciate Shinwoo for being the first (that I know of) male lead in a BL to just hand his love interest a damn napkin instead wiping their mouth himself with his fingers?
Ep 8 was a nice way to arrive at the halfway point! For as much as I feel for Shinwoo, he's a day late and a dollar short with the way he's trying to assert himself now. Helping Taekyung with stuff he neither needs help with nor wants help with isn't the way. Trying to get Taekyung to go places with you/do things with you after he's already refused is not the way either. The only thing I've seen Shinwoo do well as far as communication goes is the talk on the balcony. He got his point out indirectly, but in spite of the fact that we didn't get to hear the response from Taekyung because of the burp, I still think the very blank look on Taekyung's face before that shows that he wasn't exactly catching what Shinwoo was pitching. At least by the end, Taekyung must have realized *something* is up with Shinwoo.
As for Daon, I'm not even entirely sure how to say everything I feel for him at the moment. I think he's so acquiescent to Sohee because he genuinely sees her as a little sister (LOL @ Namgoong shoving that hard pill to swallow right down her throat AGAIN this episode). She's someone that cares a lot about and is always there with/for him when his own parents don't...which is probably big for him since that's his major inner struggle. Yes, he knows she likes him. Yes, she knows he doesn't like her in that way, but she also knows that he does indeed care about her. It wouldn't ever lead anywhere, but both of them seem to have just been content with that set up up until Taekyung. Also, she was really right when she said she knows everything about Daon. She even realized that Daon liked Taekyung before Daon did!
But I feel like this might all come off as betrayal to Daon at some point because two of the people closest to him are working against what him, almost out of nowhere (from Daon's perspective). He doesn't realize how truly and aggressively possessive Sohee is and up until lately Shinwoo has been pushing Taekyung away while Daon's been there being friendly toward Taekyung and taking care of him, literally the whole time. Now that Daon finally realizes he wants to pursue Taekyung, Shinwoo comes out of nowhere with all this self-assertion? Yikes.
Cute episode this week! I'm having a lot of fun with this. Whoever came up with the idea to schedule this for…
Lucky! Here in Asia, it airs at midnight, technically Thursday. So, I'm still bored all day Wednesday working and over-theorizing about what I just the Tuesday and what's going to happen on Thursday in Light On Me. LOL
Finally finished. The main reason I watched this was for Talay and Perth (but really Talay) and that turned out to be the most boring part of the entire show for me. We already had one dead love interest, we really didn't need a second one and we definitely didn't need him to awkwardly stick around (especially during intimate moments). It was so awkward to see Jia ask Musak to have sex for the first time on Tir's bday as Tir's ghost is looking right at them. The last episode was also super cheesy. Processed cheese, not gruyere.
I really liked getting to see multiple stories with characters with very different personalities. I enjoyed the fluff and, admittedly, *some* of the fan service. I have to say that after the last episode, I realize that I like Tue and Ake a lot more than I thought I did (though both of them as Muay Thai fighters is still not very believable). I like Team and Mon a lot less than than I thought. I dunno. Mon came off as really annoying in the end.
Episode 7 spoiler here!Anyone else got a little disheartened when Tae Kyung said no to Shin Woo after he specifically…
I think, for right now, Tae still doesn't see it for Shinwoo. Yes, he wants to be Shinwoo's friend, but Shinwoo keeps trying to be friendly in ways that don't compute for Tae. Tae's good at expressing himself, he's not the best at understanding others' subtleties. Also, right before Tae rejected going to karaoke with Shinwoo, Shinwoo had just tied Tae's shoes, which Tae seems to have thought was more strange than anything else. Then, when Tae asked if he did it just to make up for putting the cake on his face, Shinwoo responds with with 'Yes.'...we the audience were able to hear the sarcasm in his voice, but Tae wasn't. He came off just as rude and immature as he's come off in the past to Tae. As far as Tae's concerned, Shinwoo just randomly smeared cake all over him, found the weirdest way to apologize and is now trying to stop him from going to see the guy actually does like for no reason. I want the best for Shinwoo, but jeez he needs to pull himself together.
I'm definitely pro-ShinTae, but I'm probably more pro-happy ending for Daon regardless...a happy ending without being with Sohee. The absolute last person someone who doesn't know how to be self-assertive like Daon needs to be with is someone like Sohee.
Before ep 7, I was a little more even given to both of the possibilities, but now I think it's more of the latter.

Can't wait to see what happens next!
