Loved this film. The actors did a great job and so many shots, especially of Chang Jia Han staring off into space were so beautifully crafted. Another one of my most favorite shots was the one of them lying on the beach covered in sand. This movie was hard-hitting and worth the praise it gets.
Also, does anyone have any idea why the song “O Danny Boy” keeps playing throughout the movie?
It absolutely disgusts me that there are people out there that wish Shin and Keng ended up together. How can you…
Also, before Shin explicitly tells Keng he doesn't seem him romantically, we're not even given any implication from Shin that he actually feels ANYthing emotionally for Keng other than friendship and admiration. That time when Keng puts his arm around him on the bed, Shin is visibly uncomfortable and takes it off. Shin and Keng were the protagonist and the antagonist of this story, not the main couple. It really is gross that people would ship them...I'm almost uncomfortable at how this is advertised (based on the promo pics above) in such a way that kinda makes it seem like a romance too.
This was the icing on the delicious cake that was Cherry Magic. Just sweet and well-produced as the other episodes. Tsuge may fumble over his words sometimes, but in the end, he's writer and that shows. Love him.
I wasn't so annoyed with Leo before, but I definitely am now. He missed a really good chance this last episode…
What's holding Leo back? Well, what I had a suspicion about previously has been more or less emphasized by this last episode. To put it plainly: Leo might just be a bit of a coward. He can handle Fiat being completely rejected/hurt by Type and being there up the pieces later on (no matter how long it takes), but is too afraid to run the risk of openly expressing himself and being rejected directly. Hopefully, they'll resolve this and it'll be over, but nevertheless, I'm over them.
Champ and Doc have been most of my reasons to smile during this show. I love their ridiculously mushy interaction. Naming a flower pancake after Doc? The way Doc always looks away and smiles whenever Champ says something romantic (albeit unconsciously) and how Champ's like "Please don't think I'm dumb."...I almost hate myself for being so completely sucked into their cuteness. haha

" if they're both actually secretly into each other, don't you think they would've just naturally slipped into making out and/or boinking each other a whole while ago? "
Yes and no? I haven't read the books to know enough backstory on them, but. I feel like Leo may have always had something for Fiat and never really made any kind of move because he didn't know what reaction he'd get and that's just been the status quo, but maybe now that he sees Fiat being into other guys, it's finally started to take its toll on him? Not sure.
"and how hard is it to take it to "I'm actually into you" from there?" Not very. lol
"I don't know, they're both super weird and neither one in a fun way that's entertaining to watch... at least not for me."
Agreed. If we'd gotten a love confession there in the hospital, their arc could have been redeemed for me, but at this point, I'm kinda just like "wtf" with them and I don't care what comes of their 'thing' over the course of these last four episodes. Of course, I hope whatever it is will be good, but I'm no longer as invested in them as I might have been before...which I barely was.

In my opinion, Fiat wouldn't know if someone were into him unless the person used explicit words to say it. The only experience of someone being interested in him he's ever had is sexual. We saw this some episodes back and in this last episode, he reiterates that and equates the entire experience of being a gay man to hookup culture. Fiat needs love and attention. He's getting that 100% from Leo. Leo gets him and is there for him...which is what he needs/wants. However, I truly believe Fiat's too immature and/or dumb to see it beyond the friendship level largely because he doesn't know what it looks like when it's given to him...in spite of having attempted to give to so many others. I can genuinely can't imagine Leo finding the proper time and words to express this and Fiat completely rejecting him, but I do see where the anxiety would come from on Leo's part about that.
On Leo's part, he came all the way across the world because Fiat injured his knee (really because he's in love with Fiat), but now, seeing Fiat devastated and more in need than ever, instead of taking the chance to say, "Hey, actually, while everyone's rejected you, I've always loved you and I'm IN LOVE with you", he hands him off to Type (by giving him his address) so that he can learn the hard way through harsh rejection from Type/possible aggression from Tharn. While I guess I can see where Leo is coming from with this method especially since we know how stubborn Fiat is, I still just don't like it. Fiat was in a very raw state at the hospital. That was a really good time for Leo to express his true feelings and reassure Fiat that he doesn't need to be a desperate, home-wrecking jerk to Type/Tharn to get the type of attention that ultimately won't be given to him from them.
browsing through the comments, I'm glad to see that we're all on board with being annoyed with Fiat and Leo now.…
I wasn't so annoyed with Leo before, but I definitely am now. He missed a really good chance this last episode to make his feelings abundantly clear AND likely receive a positive response.
Because SOTUS is a GMMTV production, so they don't have to negotiate over rights.
I didn't care for it either. I disliked Arthit back then as much as I dislike Ton now. See Krist play the 'a$$hole landlord' role for a while in I'm Tee, Me Too this year gave me flashbacks. lol
