The problem is that it doesn't matter how touching or heartwarming they try to make their reunion, it will not erase how selfish and heartless she was when she she lied, went behind his back and abandoned him...
I'd probably call it slight romance. It's more of a mystery. No love triangle and there is a happy ending but…
Actually, I am starting to appreciate more the "slight romance" shows! Since there are way too many full blown romance shows that lack plot and character development nowadays, and relay too much on way too old cliches and tropes to keep the story going! This is why I sometimes prefer the show to have everything else going with the plot, and have romance as an added good which makes more comfortable since I hate love triangles and stupid misunderstandings/break ups! Just to provide an example, the romance in "The Glory" was just perfect! for me!
Lol Hyoshim is doing a full Yeondoo, including her abandoning Taeho and a year of timeskip while he is searching…
At this point, I am not even upset because she went behind his back and has surgery to help the man that abandoned her family. To be honest, I just feel confused about her whole disappearing act, since there is no reason for her to do that. In the worst case scenario, she would have stayed with her family since in the first place she is sacrificing everything for her family, so it makes no sense that she leaves them now and TH disappearing makes so much more sense! But the obsession with making the girl the victim and the man simping for the girl until the end of the world seems like the way to go for writers. Ultimately, it feels like this is all for the main target of Dramaland, "women" and fulfilling their fantasies of a man that would remain loyal even if they did the worst of the worst. However, I am sure that women included, most of us still find her actions as complete nonsense regardless of how the writers may try to justify their actions for the last few episodes.
Which episode where they start falling in love again?
Fast Forwarding and Skipping helped me to reach episode 58! I cannot help to think that the whole divorce arc could have been a 5 to 10 episodes bug fight if it was not for the two love triangles they introduce that drag the whole thing for 50 episodes.
I believe this has to do with how parents think about their reputation first. A lot of parents feel like others…
That's what would be rewarding in the end! But these dramas expose the worst nature of humans sometimes. I understand to some extent, otherwise it would not be a family drama.
Hello! I come from a great disappointed with a different family drama and was looking for something that will…
Instead of directly skipping entire episodes, I have been fast forwarding and skipping scenes instead. I am glad I did, because while the show is still fun throughout the first half, I found the two love triangles around the doctors annoying, specially the "Director" that uses every chance to make Gyu Jin uncomfortable and miserable. I cannot forgive that Na Hee sees all this happening and doesn't seem to care about him even out of empathy since they don't even have 3 months divorced, and they did not divorce because they fell out of love.
This is my second “Weekender” so maybe this is a theme of this kind of drama, but in Korea (Korean dramas)…
I believe this has to do with how parents think about their reputation first. A lot of parents feel like others look down on them if their kids are not successful.
I strongly believe that parents should always advocate for the best for their families, and care less about what the gossipy neighbor or aunt think about them.
i skipped the whole divorced part. watched 1-10 and 60-100 and had no problem
Once again, I am happy that I found this comment. I was able to watch until episode 10. I started skipping from episode 10 and plan to continue until episode 50. I believe it was the best decision because while the show seems to be very good and has many other arcs moving at the same time, I am not interested "at all" in the parents and the market plot, and have little interest in the lives of the two siblings that got divorced first.
The main reason why I feel skipping through the episodes or skip episodes completely from episode 10 to 50-60 is that side stories seem to go in circle with little progress, while two annoying love triangles happen with our doctors couple. Gyu Jin spends way too much time with his first love and her son causing infinite misunderstandings and Na Hee even starts dating somebody else and asking Gyu Jin for advice, which breaks my heart (my heart that HATES love triangles).
