OMG. This drama just popped up on my iQiYI account. Didn't see it before, but must confess even only seeing him in the short intro clip made me cry. I don't think I can bear watching him in this drama knowing what he went through in real life. 😢. Poor Yu. May you rest in peace!
I hear rumours that he was part of the You Menglong case and if he was really actively involved in his torture then hopefully he will be arrested. However, if he was forced to watch the horrible torture, then I feel sorry for him. There are many different stories out there, and looking at his bio , he already quit the entrainment industry in the beginning of the year. I wonder why this happened and if he was threatened as well? Sometimes it's really hard to separate white from black. Was it not mentioned that actors were tortured who didn't comply with the hidden rules? I wonder how many actors were subject to these horrible treatments (besides the one we already are being made aware off)?

Wow. This drama is intense. It's well paced. No boring moment. So much intrigue and twists. I'm a bit bruised from real life recent events relating to an open criminal investigation, such this drama really intensified my emotions. There is brutal torture, deep betrayal, hidden agendas, friends who are enemies due to jealousy and enemies turning to friends due to mutual understanding, lots of miscommunication and hate, unaquitted love, passionate love and kisses, unconditional love, emotional and mental suffering, illness, sacrifice, power hungry players, power wielding tyrants , misuse of power , nativity that kills, stupidly bears consequences and the innocent who suffer the most.... Definitely worth watching, but emotionally demanding. I really hope it's a good ending. There is a bit of angst It might not be. Let's see.
