Why did the ML's cousin fall from the building? The translation said he was pushed, but there was no further explanation…
He graduated from college in Hong Kong, returned to Hongyang, became a finance bro with a conscience, and made a whole lot of money.
As for the confrontation with his mother: He was calm during the talk with his mother because he had firmly made up his mind he was out of the math olympiad game and there was absolutely nothing she could do to change his mind, so why be all emotional about it? When they started talking about the brother and how she ruined his life, hinting that her treatment of him contributed to the brother dying, that's when he got very upset. But after spending time with Cherry and her family, he calmed down again. gave his parents the pick of what they wanted from his math genius life and threw the rest of that shit (or as he called it, garbage) away. Even her crashing her car like the crazy person she was didn't change his mind. He was free and going to study abroad, as Cherry encouraged him to do! Unfortunately, the business with the cousin happened and his dreams and plans were dashed.
With all of the work and studying he was drained. Didn't you hear him talk about how desperately he cried one night
The dialogue has been going around in my head. There has been so many outstanding scenes and dialogue. I hope…
I am looking forward to a rewatch binge on Netflix when all of the episodes are up and I can watch them on my TV with out the angst I experienced this week. In the meantime, I will miss this series so, so much. I was up at all hours of the night with you guys, chasing down episodes on Netflix, Viki, Daily Motion and the site shared today with the final episodes. It was nice to see I wasn't the only one up between 2:30-4 am being crazy.
Although I would have loved more of our leading man in some of the earlier episodes, 19-24 kind of made it worth the wait.
What are you all watching next? I need a passionate modern love story.
INooooo you got it wrong, I am all for having self respect and self worth but in this drama FL is not chasing…
He didn't actively choose his fear; he felt he had no choice. And it was more shame than fear, I think. Also it was all so worth it in the end because they moved many steps forward in Hong Kong. She helped him understand it was okay to not be okay, she encouraged him to continue at the University of Hong Kong when he wanted to take the college entrance exam and restart his studies to be in the city where she was studying, they made love. She won the lottery literally and in love. He was hugely successful in finance once he graduated(did you see that gorgeous apartment?), she was living her teaching dreams, and she was deeply, deeply loved.
I also love how he was so anxious to be a part of her family and call her parents Mom and Dad.

She was not dying inside. Also, she was still young enough to feel this way and if, by some horrible circumstance it didn't work out, there would be plenty of time to find a second love.
How did she treat the SML poorly. She had no idea until she saw the photo in his wallet that he liked her and she never, ever gave him any reason to think she liked as more than just a really good friend. And he knew she was totally devoted to the ML.
Some people act like the poor girl was on antidepressants and taking to her bed or something. She was living her life, albeit feeling a void from missing him, but she was killing it at school and tutoring and maintaining /building old and new friendships.
She forgave him because it was obvious he had suffered and struggled mightily and he also loved her just as much!!!
Kill me now. Where is episode 21? What is this four days they speak of??????? Are these streaming sites trying to drive me mad, like I'm not already crazy waking up in the wee hours to watch and ruining my skin?
I found the pacing perfect, some mind find it slow. It focuses mostly on romance and friendship, with a bit of…
I also love the bromance between the three male leads. The female lead's cousin was so happy to reconnect with Lin he was ready to sell (as they say in these dramas) the poor girl to him. He was, like, you have to marry him--which was so out of character and funny. I also loved the younger cousin; such a sweet boy.
you rated the first frost a 10 when it's basically the same thing but role reversal, Sangyan had no respect for…
And at least our darling Cherry didn't take to her bed for weeks and maybe months when her true love disappeared, unlike our sweet Sangyan, who didn't leave his bedroom until his little sister told him she learned about heartbreak while watching what happens in fairytales when the prince can't find the princess: He works hard, gets his shit together and in the end prevails. I love that scene so much. When Yifan finally reentered his life, he had excelled at uni, had a great job till he didn't want it anymore, started a thriving business with his friends.
But didn't she write in her diary that she didn't think about him at one point or when she said she's tired of…
I love how the whole family embraced him, feeding his tummy and his soul. And he probably spent all of the time they weren't at school or sleeping together with Cherry.
Thank you! And this took place decades ago when boys and men were even less evolved. When he was walking home before…
I felt it, too. She was so brave and grown up to try to reassure him in the beginning that she wasn't freaking out over his reduced circumstances: he looked healthy, had a place to live, people to talk to. Those factors were likely reassuring to her, but she was deeply saddened by how he was living and she knew revealing that sadness would hurt him and maybe push him away.
