After seeing previews for tomorrow I want that mother to die. Like right this second.

It is seriously my comfort drama because My Royal Nemesis, which is fantastic and ending this weekend, has been giving me agita. Never-Ending Summer will likely provide some angst in the next few days. And The First Jasmine will probably provide a bit, too. Expecting happy endings from all, but getting there is a trip.

LOL. I’m not much of a historical/fantasy, people flying everywhere kind of drama watcher either, but this has me at a choke hold, too.

They are not adopted cousins in Dazzling. The mothers were good friends and the FL's mother's family took in the ML's mother when she faced hard times. There was no adoption and the leads never met until they were in final year of high school. She called the ML's mum auntie as one does with one's mother's dear friend.

In S&L, the pair did spend some early years together because the ML's parents died and her father who was best friends with his father took the child in, which FL's mother resented, but there was never any formal or legal adoption and the father and ML left the household when the FL was still in grammar school.

No. Getting married isn't automatic adoption. That is a separate legal process!

I agree that she already cares for him a lot and that's why she's always apologizing to him in secret, but the poor girl is in desperate financial straits and is determined to see her grandmother get healthy. He is also aware of the grandma's situation and has paid one bill.

Who here can imagine being in such a dire financial situation at her age?

I think he knows she cares for him but has no idea how far she'll go to help her grandmother. I'm just hoping there aren't too many episodes between the never ending happy summer they seem to be about to have and their reuniting as adults.

She is not his step mother.

Exactly! And she's been the most important person in her life since she was a child. Also, who the hell knows what exactly that smarmy SML said to her about the trial? He should have looked more closely at the grandma's case before even suggesting it but cared more about trying to impress FL. He's using the grandma to get to FL while ML is treating her like a real patient and keeping the requisite confidentiality.

Did you see that leg wound? It has to be! The bad foot, though, may have been created with makeup.

Plus, who wants to be in a room full of real bees? Lol And they definitely have to AI gashing wounds.

I do think AI is the devil's workshop in terms of all of the corporate/workplace jobs it has replaced, but am ok with it in situations like this.

Also, he is a plastic surgeon so has likely had to really protect his hands much more than the average man or non-surgical MDs.

I thought he became more handsome the more I saw him.

I think she wanted him to be more understanding about their whims, but I, too, felt he wasn't being a good doctor when he was just doling out medicine and not asking any more questions. That was kind of crazy and could cause a disastrous health outcome.
