I already know i'm going to risk sounding like an asshole but hear me out lmao. Why do female villains get away with so much bs? Corruption, manipulation, abuse, trauma, murder, bribery, classism ECT. I've constantly seen dudes get DESTROYED for far less. I'm not saying I needed her hospitalized, but she at least deserved an uppercut or a few smacks. SOMETHING😂

As for the actual series. An enjoyable watch with plot holes, questionable writing choices you kind of just have to just ignore for your own sanity

I know i'm about a year late, but I feel like this drama is horribly underrated. I decided to watch it on a whim & i'll first start by saying this drama has one of the most memorable sound tracks I've heard since "Moving, Trunk, & Ballerina." The acting was phenomenal with a dope plot I was skeptical of at first, but kept getting more interesting as the story progressed. I do feel as if there's a few character mishaps that happen in the later half. It felt like a few characters'personalities did a complete 180 out of the blue, but other than that the characters felt really organic.

If anyone is hesitant I feel you should definitely give this a shot

I'm glad the movie ended the way it did. First off i'm happy they were able to get their closure. It showed a lot of growth and maturity that Woo Yun NEEDED or else I would've finished this movie hating his character entirely.

Every romance doesn't need a happily ever after ending, but a lot of the times "tragic" endings are written so terribly. For the majority of the movie as much as people may think it's sweet Woo Yun was a red flag because of how obsessive he was when she had a boyfriend even after she set boundaries. Seung Hee isn't entirely free of blame either because she did send mixed signals at times.

What really made Woo yun look like a dirt bag was his aggression towards her boyfriend without him even knowing he was cheating just to meet Seung hee at a later time when he has a girlfriend enabling himself to cheat.

Seung Hee told him multiple times to move on but he kept trying to insert himself into her life resulting in him getting hurt just to start putting the blame on her. After saying that was how her abusive dad ended up she had every reason to leave, & Woo Yun NEEDED to soak in the L and move on.

Finishing up the last episode but I'll leave my thoughts now since I doubt i'll change when I'm finished.

I've constantly seen this show hyped up across social media & I have to say it is a really good show. Great cast, production, & sound track & I loved how everything connects and comes full circle.

My only "complaint" is pacing. Unfortunately I found my attention drifting more times than I care to admit & even falling asleep at times (i'll take the blame for that since I choose to watch at odd hours in the night)

but I ended up missing a bit of scenes but ultimately never felt like I missed anything important or was confused about the plot. I'm not sure if it's the episode length or just general pacing of the episodes/ amount of episodes, but that's the only thing I felt needed work.

okay I actually just finished the last episode & this is the last thing I want to touch on.
I'm not a fan of them killing Eun tak. I just felt it was a bit unnecessary, but mainly I hate how they brought her back as a school student. The crazy age gap was always gonna be there but at least she was almost 30 when they reconnected. Bringing them back together with her as a teenager was just weird.

on episode 11 but I pretty much know where the rest of the story is going. I know this show came out first but if you've watched "Marry my Husband" then you've watched this. A similar story just told a bit differently. Not a bad thing because I enjoyed both but the "reveals" were pretty easy to predict.

saw a clip of this on TikTok and decided to give it a shot especially after watching wonder fools and 12 mins in and geezus this cast is already stacked. looking forward to seeing the story unfold

edit: finished the movie and had a lot of fun with it. a nice watch to pass the time

MY FINAL THOUGHTS!!!!!!

I liked this one. Interesting plot that kept me clicking the next episode. The comedy at times actually made me laugh but it can also be really cringe(sometimes I genuinely don't get Korean humor)

my only negatives are
1. the action scenes were just not good
2. whenever a romance series has an external conflict they always drag out revealing info/ moving the plot forward until the last 4 episodes which imo is a bad writing/pacing choice.
3. The climax to the final conflict was weak but the conclusion to the overall story was pretty good

The monk can be an extremely infuriating character. He withholds all the wrong information to the wrong people being completely counter productive. The cops are already looking into prof Ju, you gave them some extra info okay that's cool but all you have to do is let the police know if anything happens to you or those around you anytime soon who is likely responsible to tighten the lease on him.instead you tell the 2 idiotic students to follow him and keep an eye on him. You know Ju killed the parents but instead of warning Bong Pal you say absolutely nothing leaving him completely at risk same with Hyeon Ji you know she was his victim but don't warn her at all that she's getting close to an evil spirit that almost killed her.but he had all the energy in the world to tell her about Bong pal's parents to keep them away from each other. SO DAMN ANNOYING

Honestly that's kind of a loaded question for me. I genuinely don't know how I feel It's a mixed bag for me. In the beginning Jang Uk pissed me off which is ironic cause he pissed me off at the start of S1 too, but I hated how he was a dick to Bu Yeon, & everything was so one sided at first. I get he was grieving but being so cold to her especially after finding out how her "mom" would treat her & him telling her I'm just going to use you just irritated me. It was nice seeing them finally warm up to each other later on but getting to that point had me practicing new breathing exercises

exactly. It's like the writers wanted to keep him in the series because they didn't know how to continue the plot without him, but at the same time they didn't know exactly how he would fit the story in the first place, which ended up kind of sacrificing plot and character growth that was built up in season 1

yeah I know there's a show in the making but there's no news out for it as far as I know

Loved Park Eun Bins performance in this drama, also amazing production. It was darker than I expected it to be which I enjoyed since i'm used to seeing her in "happier" roles. I do however feel this would've hit home base a little harder if it stuck to more of a revenge story. During the last 2 episodes I started to drift out of it

I'm gonna try to not make this long & it will contain spoilers so please bear with me.

I hate being hyper critical, but in my opinion this movie genuinely just isn't good. The very beginning of the film struck me as odd due to the way it was structured. It felt like it was progressing at a rapid pace without giving much context, but even with that the beginning of the film was still interesting because things do make sense a bit as it progresses, but just as soon as things start to make sense NOTHING starts to make sense & the film basically keeps that up until the end.

We get no information on Yeong Sook's birth parents outside of her mom being in a mental hospital & died & her dad just isn't mentioned. The scene with her step mom performing an exorcism on Yeong Sook was just skipped over & not explained. I understand she's a shaman but why did it seem like it was working?(so is Yeong Sook possessed or what?)

The police were SEVERELY incompetent. You now have a connection of FOUR people going missing that are tied to this residence, You know Yeong Sook is mentally impaired, yet not even the slightest sense of urgency came from the police.

The biggest thing that started to take me out was the timeline aspect made less & less sense as the story progressed. Yeong Sook calling Seo Yeon as she's being murdered but the next day everything is "fine" apparently only 3 people aged in this movie Seo Yeon, her dad, and Yeong Sook's cousin lmao

This will be the last thing I touch on, but the logic for the characters just wasn't there. Seo Yeon knows her dad was alive due to Yeong Sook interfering yet you antagonize the person you know just murdered 2 people & also knows you & your parents? Yeong Sook learns she gets life in prison so your plan is to threaten the ONLY one that could help you? (yes she's crazy so i'll let that slide) but it was still dumb because if you kill them what incentive do I have to help & you STILL get life in prison or worse..... Everyone's survival instincts were just nonexistent.

Sorry for the rant I JUST finished the movie was just annoyed because it started off interesting then completely fell to pieces.

she played the younger version of the store owner (Yeong Sook step mom's niece) she was only in the movie briefly in the past

I find it funny how so far I've seen 5 dramas he's a part of (unintentionally) & 3 of those 5 are him dealing with ghosts 😂😂 one thing I can say for sure is he knows how to stand out in every project I've seen so far. whether I like the character or not he leaves an impression

it might just be me but I honestly cant stand the ML's attitude every episode he just gets on my nerves. 5 episodes in and not a single redeeming quality makes it hard for me to want to continue

imma need someone to explain the logistics of Gyeong Gu's hair. One minute he has a perm the next he has a 16in silk press lmaooo

I'm just finishing season 1 & this was SO MUCH better than I was originally expecting. A few familiar faces, but overall this cast was full of fresh new faces for me which I wasn't expecting & they all delivered. My only disappointment in this series was I really wanted Maria & Madam Lim to stay as recurring characters (hopefully they will come back in season 2 & 3) & the last 2 episodes kind of just felt tossed into the story. They weren't bad episodes but they didn't fit organically.

One last thing & this is more of a personal gripe for me & not to slight the story at all, one troupe I cant stand is the whole " if you retaliate you're no better than them" narrative stories try to push. When they have people doing the most inhumane and disgusting things to people, but i"M the bad guy for just tryna get justice? yeah y'all can miss me with that morality lesson
