Wow. This series is about a couple that encountered a hardship and the sacrifices/choices they made to deal with it. Sounds simple right? But no, it is so complex because of the nature of the decision. It will have you asking yourself what you would do in that situation. Seriously!! This series provoked so many conversations as well as poked at the reality that many face daily. Tearjerker on high. Anger and disgust on high. I have never disliked a villain so much as I did in this series. You will not regret watching this series. The acting and casting was perfect. Get the tissues ready.

I was absolutely blown away by the script, the cast and the chemistry. The writers did an amazing job with this script. Whoever did the lighting during the filming was able to capture not only the night scenes clearly but also distinctively. The series was so good, I actually rewatched episodes and clips while it was still on the air. The acting, the plot, the chemistry, the intelligence and the humor. You get it all as well as tons of action and anticipation. You’ll shed a tear or two. You’ll be mad, happy, want blood and smile so hard. Just wonderful.

The overall story is about two people who encountered hardship in their youth uniting to establish their own sense of love, justice and peace. I am so thrilled that the leads were both charming and smart. There were no senseless games or fights just pure witty and authentic commitment, love and determination.

I would put this series up there with ten miles of peach blossoms and the lengend of fuyao. No cliffhangers, just clean and clear and amazing ending.
Hats off to the young female actress who played “Rong’er” she has some skills. I’ll definitely look for her in future films.

The series was pretty decent if you’re looking for something entertaining to watch. I’m 90% sure that the plot was about fighting your destiny and being willing to go against the grain to do it. There was lots of action and some romantic cuddling but nothing over the top. I will admit by episode 50 I was really getting annoyed with the all out sacrificing that everyone on this show was making. It’s truly beyond reasoning. For the level of loyalty and love that they had for each other I feel that most of the characters sacrificed themselves or something else on an overload level. While I enjoyed the ending I was a bit confused.

This is my honest review of this series that could have been.....

I started watching this series after many episodes had aired because I noticed there was a total of 100 episodes in the series. I believe that the plot is good and the casting is great however the level of drama in this series is so extreme that it is annoying and frustrating. At first I was really liking it and could really get into it. There was the typical drama and crazy people but I was hopeful that eventually they’ll get better but after 75 episodes of the 100 my hope is now gone. The evil characters are not only evil, they’re ridiculous, inhumane and without common sense. It could have been great but for me the drama overload killed it. I am aware that the series is about one man’s past and his daughters future and how they are connected but How they chose to script that plot is so sour it hard to bare.
imagine someone having a hard life their entire life. That is bad enough. Now let’s imagine we add drama to someone’s already miserable life. Watching several episodes is like watching the downfall of somebody that’s already on the ground.
Imagine that person being run over by a car then someone helping them up. After the person is on their feet they walk 4 feet and get robbed of all their valuables. This same person will walk five more feet and falls into a well. The misery never ends. Now let’s say that person is a humble mouse without a backbone who is verbally and emotionally abused. Dear goodness. I liked the main couple however I really wish that the writers would’ve did a better job with this. The plot is good but there is absolutely no balance to this series. It is 100% drama, no romance, and no family bonding, no Mystery. Just pure unadulterated mess. Its like jerry springer meets Maury.

We’ve all seen the kdrama with the crazy in-laws, add that in too and they are extremely annoying. It’s as if their characters are psychotic teens. Yes, that level.

Please save yourself. Don’t watch it unless you are a lover of drama overload. I’m trapped now. It’s like a train wreck and I can’t look away. I’ve invested in it and and still hope for damage control.

There is zero happy moments, hundreds of grief moments and a few warm moments after 75 episodes.

This series was not what I expected. I am absolutely in awe of the series and how everything turned out. I will admit that I almost stopped watching it because it was somewhat slow in the beginning and some of the characters behaviors made me a little bit annoyed but I continued watching and I am so overjoyed that I did. This is one series that you will absolutely see how the characters develop over time. The writers did an amazing job exposing character behavior as well as individual perceptions, reality and opinions. This is absolutely a family drama and you will get drama and so much more. The romance is sweet and you will absolutely fall in love with some of the couples. The acting was great. The atmosphere was perfect and the family dynamic wiaa hilarious. You will enjoy family drama, humor, romance and loyalty while watching the series I recommences Siri to anyone who enjoys a good romantic photo family drama. You will not regret watching this.

This absolutely amazing. I have watched it a total of two times and plan to watch it again. I absolutely loved it. But there was so much passion and chemistry and this is Storico romance that it kept me sucked in. The acting was on point. There are moments in this series that were so intense that you would hold your breath. I would say that this can be compared to the grand prince however this series has some actors that will knock your socks off. Yo get everything in the series from romance, action, politics, but trail, revenge, loyalty versus love. It is all in this.I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys historical romances with action and great chemistry.

I was really excited to watch this series. After several months I realized that there was no end in sight for the subtitles to be completed. I took a chance and started watching the series on various sites and managed to get several episodes translated. I repeat I was super excited about the series but I am completely disappointed. If you’re into romantic series with great chemistry this is not it. If you are into lost loves, unrequited love and that odd guy out staring at the girl that he love that he could never have this is it.


The acting was great, the wardrobe was good and the scenery was pretty nice as well. I will not rewatch this even with subtitles. The beginning of the series started off fun, exciting and cute. This added with the two main leads will really get you hooked, unfortunately after episode seven or eight it goes downhill. The preview and the beginning credits scenes with leads you to believe that it is the romantic and loving series, to me it was the complete opposite. She does not end up with the person that she originally liked and it was her choice with no explanation. In the beginning of the series she was a smart, fearless, and an independent person, but by episode nine she seems to lose her wits by sacrificing herself for people that she did not know and giving up someone that she loved for nothing.

Spoiler summary***the story is about a lost princess who finds her way back home and is sent out as a bargaining chip to unite two countries. The princess meets the male lead in the beginning of the series and they really hit it off unfortunately she is sent to marry his brother and goes through with it even after she is somewhat rejected. This somewhat turned me off because she liked the brother and he liked her but she forced her way into the palace to marry the Emperor. To me it made no sense because she wasn’t a greedy person and there was nothing for her to gain. Half of this series covers her entering the palace and struggling to survive all while still caring for the main brother she rejected. It appears that she ended up falling for a guy that she married which is not quite satisfying for the viewers since the two main leads clearly loved each other and had such great chemistry. It would’ve helped if one does like the other but they clearly both liked each other. I’m not a fan of self-inflicted suffering or stupidity and I’m sad to say that this one fell right into that category.

This series the start of somewhat slow. I am glad that I finished it because it got really interesting. I will say that but it was interesting to watch how the characters develop overtime but what I found more interesting was how relatable the characters are. I will tell you that the main female lead with initially frustrating because she was a bit naïve however she grew into her character. I absolutely loved each character in this series especially the “big sister” character which was portrayed as a villain but to me was an absolute forced to be reckoned with. The ending did leave something to be desired but it wasn’t awful. Overall this is worth the time.

Simply amazing. A foreigner enters a different land but still manages to stay true. I absolutely love the actors in this film. They’re chemistry was amazing. The two main leads were entertaining as well as lovable. I enjoyed watching it. It was the opitomy of a romance series. Not too over the top. It was really sweet, not your typical cheesy romance but a true development of something pure. I recommend this seems to anyone who is looking for a heartfelt, romantic series to watch. His series started off strong and it ended strong as well. How did the riders touch my emotions like this. This is one of the most heartfelt historical series that I have watched. It not only evoked tears but also joy frustration anger and intern most understanding of the emotional conflicts that many are faced with. There was a mixture of action, politics and romance. I am simply amazed at the riders ability in developing the characters wrote and also revealing their personalities without giving away too much information at a time. You can honestly tell by the first two episodes who has the potential to be the evil people and who does it. I like that they did not rush the romance between the characters and allowed us to see each of them developed and connect with each other. This story does surround prophecy about a family legacy however it does go much further than that. The three sisters surrounding the series play their characters really well. The male leads were all amazing as well. Each sister had a romantic interest and responded differently to those interest. I will say that the series appears to span over a large time frame but it was still amazing. One thing that I am not so keen about is that the riders me the intended villain appear to be a villain but I saw him more as someone pushed too far and later manipulated. This is a first for me not seeing the portrayed villain as the actual villain. I enjoyed the bond between the sisters initially but like all good things..... this series will definitely have you looking at that fine line of right and wrong but also make you wonder where the line is between stupidity, insanity and loyalty. The female villain in this one was a mixture of all three. There was definitely closure in this series so are you happy that you won’t be left hanging with the making up your own ending event.
