I agree, I'd love a spinoff with Haeyi and Sunjae and I don't watch school dramas either! I think they'll use haeyi's real mom just to contrast her with her aunt and show how the latter is a better mother figure despite not being the real mother. Still, I think this bit was unnecessary, especially when there are only 2 episodes left.
