Can't comment on POJ. But much like KTTPH, it's refreshing to see couples in a drama form a strong bond and unbreakable trust. I hate that stupid love, hate, love, hate trash so many dramas employ as a make-up / break-up fan-service. In both TRTS and KTTPH they actually communicate with each other and solve problems together. It makes the show so much more enjoyable, and you look forward to them growing closer each episode. Individual character growth paired with relationship growth is always a winner.

PS... TRTS isn't finished yet, so I hope I didn't jinx it 🙏.

100%. Some dramas don't have enough content to fill a large episode count and should be shortened. Others need more time. TSOPG easily could've been two seasons. I felt the transition from wild frontier space to the day-to-day life and politics of the big city threw people off. The pearl diving frontier aspect was fresh and exciting and the urban business building phase was all very familiar. Not to mention, there were very few endearing moments between the leads due to time constraints. I think viewers felt short-changed. "Eternal Love" had 58 episodes and it did it easy. And the crime epic "The Knockout" was 39 episodes, really long for a crime drama. Once again, it effortlessly filled those 39. You just want the episode count to match the content, like you said. You don't want filler and you equally don't want shortcuts. I tend to find the more a long-form drama feels like an extended movie. The more I enjoy it.

Absolutely brilliant so far. My one gripe is that I wish they would let us savour precious little moments a bit longer before moving on with the cutthroat politics and Machiavellian games.
