Started late. At episode 8. I'm really enjoying this one. I knew I would. This is proper drama, there is no other way to put it. I think this is going to be the drama that really converts me into a true believer in Bai Lu.

Yes. It's all very exciting. They've accumulated talent in all the right places. It feels like the industry is ready to explode with new ideas and things that have never been seen before.

Let's make a bold prediction. Post 2000s talent will be better than pre 2000s talent. This may very well be China's most gifted performing generation.

I keep popping in looking for a release date. No luck, but I feel it's getting close. I love this cast, I can't wait to see them together.

All done. All done. Quite the feel good story. Very satisfying. Very safe. I have a sneaky suspicion this type of ending will become more common in Cdrama. Lol. It's both a good way to wrap things up and the type of message they'd like the general public to see.

That whole body swap sequence ~ Spectacular! Spectacular! The CGI really is something else in this drama. Followed by beautiful moments between the leads. Ai Mi gently easing into roles with a romantic element. All implied, nothing physical, she sells it with a look. Beautifully done.

Good to hear. Hoping for fireworks 🎆 in the next few episodes 🤞. Slow-burn romances over 40 eps are actually my favourite (The Double, for example), but they just haven't been taking the small steps; instead, they've been rather stationary. Enjoying the show overall.

Love the fight / action scenes. They are some of the best I've seen. Love the costumes and make-up. It looks absolutely gorgeous. Love the world they have crafted. Deng Wei is such a handsome man. But can we please get this romance out of first gear. These two need to stop treading water. It's like a first crush type of romance. It's starting to bug me.

Side note... Ai Mi's emoting is always on point. Pleasure to watch. (Yes, I'm biased. But it doesn't make it any leass true).

Lol. I was watching some clips from her movie Break Through (2024) and it looks like she dies in that, too. She's so good at a death scenes 😭
