Tbf, the writers have done such a terrific job that they deserve our trust that they'll deliver us an ending that is just as high quality as the rest of the show👍. I believe in them.

Looking forward to the OST. I haven't skipped the opening & closing credits since this drama started. Particularly like the outro song.

Tbh, if it wasn't for the spoiler synopsis up above, I'd have no sense of direction at all. This drama ties you in all kinds of knots. It's so good at doing it. It makes you question that synopsis.

A unique art-house and high-end production hybrid. It's so strange, the best way to describe it at this point is simply as an experience.

Memento vibes from all those post-it notes. What a wonderfully weird adventure we are on. I'm still lost in the fog. Perhaps, I'm the NPC.

Yes, I quite like the under the radar comment sections, too. I'm always on the look for things that are a bit different, so I'll probably find myself in a few of them. Good to see I'm not the only one 🙂 .

Yes, DA was quite the event. It was great to see Jinmai become the first 00's actress to reach the high heat index across the three platforms. But, like this drama, interest on MDL was much lower than in China. So, the comment section was an intimate one, not one of the crazy, fast-moving, types. No fan wars either 😁.

You're right, when things get heated, it can really derail a comment section, and it's best to avoid getting dragged into engaging in negativity. I saw that happen in TSOPG comments, which was a real shame because they were having fun until fan wars erupted. A Cheng Yi / Xiao Zhan fight recently broke out in the Zang Hai comment section, too. It tends to happen on the high traffic pages.

These underappreciated low-traffic pages are a bit different, and, tbh, I wish people would comment more and say what they like and don't like. Instead, what you tend to get is a rating that keeps going down. It happened to Drifting Away, where it now sits at 7.8. Not bad under most rating systems. But considered bad on MDL 😆. Derailment's rating is also 7.8, which prompts people to ask if it's bad. Luckily, there are many positive comments on the Derailment page that might encourage them to go and look for themselves.

7.0 just seems unfair considering the stunning visuals and quality of acting so far. I always save my rating for the end. I won't say it's impossible for this show to end up being an incoherent mess. But, it's simply far too early to make that call. Viewers should sit back, enjoy the ride, and let the drama develop. Instead of not giving it a chance and inflicting a ridiculous low 7.0 on the show. Hopefully, we can lift it up a bit or offset it with some positive comments / feedback.

GWTW is an all-time favourite of mine. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. If you enjoy cinema in general, it never disappoints. Funnily enough, it's part of the reason I enjoy Cdrama so much. It is its own thing, but I really do see a little of old Hollywood in it. Grand sets. Elaborate costumes. Stories with a moral compass. Great voices and line delivery. Expressive acting, especially with the eyes. Romance, and electric chemistry between the leads.

So true. Blink, and it's over. However, I'm becoming quite fond of the short series. They actually have the feel of extended movies. I still like long-form shows (LOZH, for example). But, a 40-episode series has a completely different structure. The structure here, like I said, is similar to a movie. I'm absolutely loving it so far. I really enjoyed Drifting Away earlier in the year, too. 

It's such a shame to see some people down-voting it already. Let it take shape for heaven's sake. When series are this short and delivered rapidly this way, they really don't need to finish each episode with a hook / cliffhanger. You consume them like a film. Films can often be ambiguous throughout, only revealing the truth at the end. Some even give you an ambiguous ending. There are plenty of interesting aspects and mysteries to keep you plugged-in. 

These types of shows really do get unnecessarily ratings bombed on MDL. It's kind of frustrating. The overall runtime for the 8 episodes is about 5h 30m. The movie Gone With the Wind has a runtime of about 4h. There's really not that much difference in length. Yes, it's non-linear, but just sit back, enjoy the experience, and let the story unfold.

Lol... They were indeed. I found myself in that wonderful place where you don't really know what's going on, but whatever it is, you like it.

An old anime called Serial Experiments Lain popped into my brain while watching this. It's been so long that I can't really remember what it was about. But for some reason, WAWW triggered it to resurface in my mind. Perhaps it created a similar vibe to the one I explained above.

Alright, I'm confused. Confused in a good way. I'm not quite sure what's real and what's not? Who is real and who is not? But, without a doubt, the experience was a good one 👍😁.  

Superb acting and stunning visuals. Can't wait for tomorrow to experience some more.
