Finally finished this drama and here's my review:
I would have given this drama a solid 10 before the long-ass flashback but afterwards it went to a 8 and after the rushed ending it's a 7/10 from me.
Namkoong Min was as always fantastic and Kim Ji Eun did an amazing job as Mari but the story really needed more than 12 episodes to be taken seriously, the flashback episodes promised a serious tone for the finale but with the cartoonish villain and some stupid choices that ML made and leaving a bunch of unanswered questions at the end, it really took away from what could have been an amazing drama.

dropped after 3 episodes, really boring story. skipped to the ending and it seemed like a crappy ending too so it seems like I made the right choice here.
To anyone thinking of watching it, I won't recommend it at all, even if you have nothing else to watch it's better to re-watch some of your favorites rather than waste your time on this.

PS: the FL's outfits really bothered me for some reason, who wears that short of a pants with that amount of white sock showing, it made me think she was waring a pants form when she was a teenager.

I just hope this doesn't end up with a terrible ending after the king finds out he's been fooled.
