The best drama ever. Honestly, I went in thinking it wouldn't be THAT good, but omg, it was so solid. Way beyond my expectations.
First of all, every character in this drama has such strong representation, but especially Beom-seok. He is hands down the best character ever written. And I'm not saying this because what he did was right or wrong - it's because characters like him are so painfully real in real life. You actually see people like Beom-seok around you. These types of characters live with lifetime regret for what they do. They suffer the most, but the tragic part is, they don't want to heal. Instead of accepting help, they end up doing things that hurt the very people who love them. That self-destructive cycle is written so perfectly here. It's uncomfortable, it's frustrating, but it's real.
Then there's Suho. People often don't talk enough about him. On the surface, everyone just sees him as the happy, funny, strong guy. The sunshine of the group. But then you slowly realize he never had any real friends before. He was always alone. And the moment he finally made genuine friends, his life became hell. It's such a depressing and cruel thing to show - that someone who finally found happiness had to pay such a huge price for it. His arc broke me.
And Sieun - I think everyone already knows what kind of character he is. The brilliant, strategic, lonely top student. But what makes him unforgettable is Park Jihoon. He was one of the most suitable casting choices ever. Jihoon didn't just play Sieun, he LIVED him. The cold stares, the shaking hands, the silent breakdowns - no one else could have played him the way he did. He IS Sieun.
I lowkey hate the girl character. I know she is not the one who destroyed everything, and it's not entirely her fault, but sometimes I really hated how she acted. If you made one friend in the group, and then you became friends with his other friend too, then why not with the third one as well? Forget about friendship, but at least show some basic respect. You literally joined their trio, so you need to treat all of them respectfully, which she completely failed to do.
But despite that, what I loved the most was Sieun and Suho's chemistry. I think it's beyond friendship. For me, it's not queerbaiting at all, but it's also definitely not just friendship. It's that kind of bond where someone becomes your only safe place in a cruel world. It's soulmates, in the purest form.
Weak Hero is not just about fights. It's about loneliness, trauma, and how fragile friendship can be. A must-watch.

ml deserved better
This drama is not bad. When I watched it in 2020, I really liked it, but now when I re-watched it, I don't think it's that good.
The efforts are completely one-sided. Kim Bok-joo had a crush on Jung Jae-yi, she was a little obsessed with him. But when the main lead Joon-hyung came and started liking her, she started putting in all the efforts which she never did for him before. So why is that? The efforts she did for her crush, she should have done for the main lead too. It felt unbalanced.
And honestly, she was a bit annoying and loud at times, which was annoying to watch. Maybe I don't know, it's just me or if anyone else feels the same, but her shouting and overreacting got too much in some episodes.
But yes, I have to say - I love the way he loved her. Jung Joon-hyung's love was so pure, patient, and comforting. He knew her since childhood, he supported her dream, he loved her even in her most insecure moments. Maybe he deserved a little better.
What I still love about this drama is its real charm though. It's not about heavy plot twists. It's about youth, friendship, dreams, and first love. The weightlifting team, the swimming team, the friendship between Bok-joo, Nan-hee and Seon-ok is so wholesome. The story pace is clean and light, so it's a very comfortable watch.
No high hopes, but good for a light, healing, one-time watch.

My Comfort BL Masterpiece That Ruined Me*I watched this when I was new into BL, honestly at that time I knew nothing about the actors. But OMG the way both actors played Thame and Po, no one is gonna do that ever. Honestly one of the best BL masterpieces for me.
The story is not complicated. It's a simple, slow-burning story about an idol group on the verge of disbanding and a director who comes to document their last days. But I call it a masterpiece because it is so soft, so comforting, and OMG the YEARNING. The way Thame looks at Po like he is the only person who can save him, and the way Po looks at Thame like he has been waiting for him forever. When they both meet after being apart for so long, what an act! I still think William and Est ARE Thame and Po. It's hard to forget them, they are stuck in my head. Their chemistry is not forced, it's natural, painful, and real.
I wish more people who don't watch BL could see this. I am not so addicted to the BL genre, I used to watch it year-wise, but after this I started to realise how it feels when two men cry, yearning for each other, when they look so helpless and in love at the same time.
And the group! LYKN as a group is perfect. Dylan is my favourite, he is so cool when he raps and is so nonchalant. I used to hate Jun but he is so good, I regret hating him. Every member has their own pain and story.
And when the straight couple broke up, it's so amazing and pitiful to watch. They really showed that idols can never get rid of toxic fans because only those toxic fans brought them to the top, and one day those same fans will be the ones to drag them down too.
And the best part? There is no unnecessary NC scene, everything is in perfect proportion and done with so much emotion. How cute the drama is. What a drama it was! I am gonna re-watch this 100 times.

one of the best ongoing drama I watch
I watched Twinkling Watermelon when it was still ongoing, and honestly, I don't know why people now find it slow. At that time, it was hands down the best ongoing K-drama.
I never watched any spoilers, so every episode was a rollercoaster for me. I genuinely thought it was going to have a really bad and sad ending, but it ended beautifully.
The absolute best part for me was Yi-chan and Eun-ah's chemistry. I never really liked Yi-chan's chemistry with any other girl, but / Eun-ah was the exception. Their soft romance was everything. And can we talk about how amazingly they portrayed sign language? No one is going to play it as beautifully and respectfully as they did. The way they were so gentle and soft with each other, it felt so pure and real.
The comedy in this drama is also perfect. Without being too loud or over-the-top, the fun is very subtle and natural. If you watch it without any spoilers, this drama will get you completely addicted.
My only complaint is the time-travel girl, Eun-gyeol's daughter. She was so annoying. I know whatever happens to her in the future is sad, but she tried so hard to ruin the main couple. Like, just because you don't want your mother to marry your father, why are you randomly picking another guy for her? That's so lame. She is not a teenager anymore, so why act so dumb? Maybe just go and talk to your mother, or find a way to stop her from marrying your father, instead of picking another guy without even knowing if your mother likes him or not. You are also destroying her life in the process. She was literally trying to force a love triangle.
The only sane point was that Yi-chan only ever had a crush on her mother, he never got romantically attached to her. That saved the story. I personally didn't find any chemistry between the future time-travel couple either. They are good alone, as single individuals. Or maybe I am just more into the family aspect - I wanted Eun-gyeol to spend more time with his father and mother only, that's why the future couple's romance felt annoying and unnecessary to me.
The last episode was a bit rushed for me, but still, Twinkling Watermelon is one of the best ongoing dramas I have watched. It's about family, youth, first love, and music. A truly healing drama.

underrated
I found this drama during my exam time and I got so addicted that I finished it in just 2 days. I didn't expect it to have such a solid plot, the killer is actually so hard to find, so it keeps you hooked with that thriller plus romance and the funny prosecutor team.
I loved the nonchalant male lead, Ji Chang-wook's comic timing and that cool prosecutor vibe suits him so perfectly, and I love the whole office gang bromance, their banter makes the show so much more entertaining. The different legal cases in every episode and the comforting OST also keeps it light and never boring, it's that perfect mix of law, comedy, thriller and romance.
This drama is so underrated. I kinda started hating the female lead after a few episodes though. As always, writers only focus on making the guy a complete green flag and they never really care about the FL's development. She had a point, but they never really tried to make the audience understand her character, so it's disappointing. But most K-dramas are like that.
Still, their chemistry is so hot, the kisses and everything, and the villain also acted so well. It's my favorite underrated drama for sure.

This is how you make a zombie movie. Not just jumpscares and gore, but actual heart.
First of all, not a single boring minute. From the moment the train starts, it's non-stop tension. No cringe overacting, no stupid decisions just for plot. Everyone acts like a real person would in that situation.
Seok-woo is the best character arc ever. He starts as this selfish, workaholic father who barely knows his daughter. He only cares about himself and his own survival. But slowly, you see him change. He becomes the kind of father who would do anything, literally DIE for his daughter and for others. That ending broke me. I still cry thinking about it.
And Sang-hwa? The real MVP. The greenest forest husband ever. He is tough, funny, but would kill every zombie in the world for his pregnant wife. His chemistry with his wife is so pure, and his death was so unfair. He deserved to live.
The little girl Su-an is so well acted. She is not annoying like most child actors. She is brave, kind, and you feel everything through her eyes.
And then the villain - Yong-suk. The most hateable villain in K-movie history. He is not a zombie, he is worse. He is that kind of person who exists in real life - selfish, cowardly, who would sacrifice everyone else to save himself. He represents the worst of humanity, and that's why you hate him so much.
The best thing about Train to Busan is it's not about zombies. It's about people. It shows who we really are when everything goes wrong. Some people become monsters without even being bitten, and some people become heroes.
The train never stops, the tension never stops, and the emotions never stop. Last 10 minutes will destroy you.
Masterpiece.

2016 peak drama
This drama is iconic for a reason. It's not just a love story, it's pure magic.
Cheon Song-yi is one of the most unique and unforgettable female leads ever. She's loud, spoiled, brutally honest, and so funny - but also so lonely and vulnerable. Her character representation is just so good. You can't hate her even when she's being extra.
And Do Min-joon? He was literally born for this role. So handsome, so cold, so perfect for an alien who has lived for 400 years. The way he tries so hard not to fall for her but fails miserably is everything.
Their chemistry is insane. The comedy when she shamelessly chases him is hilarious, but the emotional scenes will make you cry.
And I have to talk about the second female lead - Yoo Se-mi. She is so beautiful, I've seen her in tons of dramas as a side character, but here she is the best second lead. You feel for her.
The plot twist, the thriller track, the OST, the fashion - everything about this drama has a different vibe. It's funny, heartbreaking, and fantastical at the same time.
An all-time classic. If you haven't watched it, you have to.

not so good
This was literally my first K-drama ever. I watched it on TV when I knew nothing about K-dramas, so compared to our regular soap operas it felt SO different. That's why I liked it so much back then.
But after re-watching it now, I started to hate the female lead tbh. I don't think she's a good actress, like her expressions are the same in every show she does. She is really beautiful though, can't deny that.
The first half is actually really good - funny, cute, fresh concept. But the last few episodes are so boring, you will definitely get annoyed. It gets stretched for no reason.
And yeah it's an old drama so some scenes are just cringy and hard to ignore.
Still, the concept was something different at that time - a guy allergic to humans falling for a girl pretending to be a robot - so it was good for a one-time watch. I have a soft spot for it because it was my first, but I wouldn't re-watch it again.

no chemistry
Second Couple Carried The Show For Me*No chemistry between the main leads for me. I just saw edits of their confession scene and started watching this. Except for those scenes, there is nothing special in this drama.
They fall in love too fast, so there was no proper build-up and I couldn't feel the chemistry. The female lead is so annoying to watch at times, yes. She keeps saying one thing and doing another, which gets frustrating.
But the second couple totally saved the show. Seo Dae-young and Yoon Myeong-joo - she is so cute to watch. No annoying attitude, calm, mature, and she knows how to handle the situation and stand up for her love. Their love story is actually more painful and cute to watch than the main one.
Their bromance between Yoo Si-jin and Seo Dae-young is good, their loyalty and friendship is nice to see, but the overall story is not so much interesting beyond that.
For me it's not a very interesting or recommending show. The cinematography, OST, and action scenes are great, and Song Joong-ki is charming, but I watched it only for the edits and stayed for the second couple.

don't judge this drama too soon
The cutest, most rewatchable romcom!*This is such a cute romcom!
Honestly, the first episode was not for me, I almost dropped it because it felt a bit slow and confusing. But I liked it from the second episode onwards. I can re-watch this anytime because it's so funny. The friend group and everything is so wholesome.
And specially the cute second lead, he is SO cute. I love how he is secretly in love with her. OMG the banter, can I say it's the best?
And the female lead, she is the best female lead ever. She is not weak at all. She is a strong woman who neither hates the woman who is in love with the man she loves, nor does she ever think less of herself. What a drama it was!
I found the 1st episode very bad, but please trust me, it gets so much better afterwards.

The most disturbing, realistic, and underrated masterpiece*This drama is so underrated, OMG.
I think the writer must be really depressed to write something like this. How is there literally no happy ending for ANYONE? It's creepy, but not in a horror way - it's creepy in a very realistic way.
The guy's obsession, the girl's insecurity - you are never going to watch it and say "oh, this would never happen in real life." Because every character makes complete sense. That's what makes it so disturbing. Kim Mo-mi's insecurity about her looks, her desperate need for validation. Joo Oh-nam's obsessive, delusional crush. His mother Park Ki-hoon's crazy, blind maternal obsession. They are all so flawed, so human, so painful to watch.
I found this drama so randomly. I was like, it's just another thriller because the genre looks like nothing different on Netflix. But what a masterpiece it turned out to be.
What I loved is how it doesn't try to make anyone a hero. Mo-mi is not a perfect victim, Oh-nam is not just a creepy villain, and his mother is not just an evil mom. Everyone is a product of their own trauma, appearance pressure, and loneliness. The drama brutally calls out our society's obsession with looks, fame, and how we treat people who don't fit the standard.
The story structure is insane too. Every 2 episodes, the POV completely changes and you start understanding the "villain" of the last episode. It never gets boring.
It's dark, uncomfortable, gory, and it stays with you for days after you finish it. No forced happy ending, no fake redemption arc. Just raw, messy, insecure people destroying themselves and each other.
If you want a pretty love story, don't watch it. But if you want something real, disturbing, and brilliantly written that will actually make you think about beauty standards and obsession, Mask Girl is a must-watch.

no one is goona write better script than this
This is how you write a perfect script. OMG, this drama is beyond amazing.
First of all, there is not a single villain and not a single moment of overacting. Every character feels so real and human. And the romance - I don't even know how to explain it. I usually hate it when the male lead is shown as this super green flag who is constantly chasing and yearning for the girl. I like my male leads calm and mature. If he likes her, he will just respectfully propose and be sure about it. And Lee Jun-ho is exactly that. He is the GREENEST FOREST of all K-dramas. No one can beat him. The way he loves Woo Young-woo - so patient, so respectful, never making her uncomfortable. And the chemistry between them? OMG???
And then the beautiful second female lead, Choi Soo-yeon. I had a crush on her character. She is peak nonchalant on the outside but would literally die for Young-woo. Usually K-dramas always show how only the female lead is putting more effort into friendships, but not here. Soo-yeon and Dong Geu-ra-mi are literally the sunshine of Young-woo's life. They defend her, hype her up, and love her unconditionally.
What I loved the most is how they wrote Soo-yeon. She also liked Jun-ho, but she NEVER hated Young-woo for it. She was jealous for a second, but she chose friendship over a guy. Why are characters like this not more famous is still a mystery to me. Female friendship like this is so rare to see done right.
Honestly, both of her friends are one of the best characters written. In this drama, no one feels like just a side character. You are just watching everyone's POV. Someone wants fame, someone wants success, someone wants love, maybe someone just wants attention, but you are never going to hate any character. Everyone is so lovable in their own way.
And OMG the boss - Attorney Jung Myung-seok. Can I talk about how this drama never revolves around a love triangle? In any other K-drama, they would have made the boss also fall in love with her. But not here. He is her guardian, her mentor, a father figure at work who genuinely cares for her platonically. That respect was so refreshing.
The script really ATE every single episode. Each case is emotional and meaningful and teaches you something new.
And how could I forget her father? He is the real MVP. He is the one who let all of this happen. He supported her in her worst and her best. A single father raising a child on the spectrum, sacrificing his entire life, his dreams, everything. The man knows that at the end, if his daughter gets married and leaves, he will have nothing left, but he still lets her fly. That kind of parental love is so hard to portray, but they did it so beautifully.
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is healing, comforting, funny, and heartwarming. It's the K-drama of the year and no one is gonna beat this.

highly recommend masterpiece
There is not a single boring episode in Move to Heaven. And I mean that literally.
The way this drama portrays every single emotion is just hella awesome. It's quiet, it's gentle, but it hits you so hard. I always thought I only liked the "enemies to lovers" dynamic when it came to romance, but this drama completely changed my perspective. It showed me that this dynamic can be even more powerful when it's about family.
And yes, they ARE blood related. It's about an uncle and his nephew - Sang-gu and Geu-ru. But blood doesn't automatically make you family, and that's the whole point of this story. They start off as strangers who can barely tolerate each other. Sang-gu is cold and rough, Geu-ru has Asperger's and lives in his own orderly world. Their bickering and awkwardness at the beginning feels so real. But slowly, so slowly, they start to understand each other, rely on each other, and become each other's home. That journey is more comforting than any romance I have ever watched.
What I love most is that it has everything - comedy, friendship, and grief. Literally everything. The comedy is never forced, it comes naturally from their personalities clashing. The friendship that builds between them is beautiful to watch. And the grief... this drama handles grief better than any other drama I've seen. Every episode we follow a new story of a deceased person through the things they left behind. Each item mover story will make you cry, but also make you think about life, regrets, and the words we forget to say.
I can rewatch this 10 times and I still won't get bored. Because it's not just a drama, it's a healing experience. It reminds you to be kind, to appreciate the people around you, and to say "I love you" while you still can.
I really wish they made more K-dramas like this. No forced romance, no unnecessary love triangle, no second lead syndrome. Just two people - an uncle and a nephew - who are blood related but have to learn how to truly become family. It's about comforting people who feel like home.
Move to Heaven is one of those rare dramas that stays with you long after it ends. Please watch it if you haven't. You won't regret it.
