It has a happy ending. Novel also has a very happy ending. It will be some sad moments and angst but not harsh as the ones from typical xanxia. This one is more human nature.

I started liking the FL with ep 7. Now I think she was perfect casted for this role. Character of FL follows the novel line but they improved it compared to novel. It is not typical xanxia so less angst and sadness at least till current episode. Romance is slow burn but portraied with amazing scenes. CGI is by far best of this year.

We can not tell you if you will like it or not. You have to give it a try for yourself. People have different tastes. What we can tell is rating is not correct as it has been affected by the downgrade of antis and the series itself is excellent so far from my point of view.
