The focus and main topic of the drama is not romance so do not put to much of attention on that. Hope you will continue to watch as it is one of the rare drama this year that has a lot of substance and message behind ✌️ and also history. I am from a country which has had communism as past history too so a lot of scenes are similar with what my parents and grandparents told me about. It is interesting to see them pictured.

If you are just at the begining you might see it that way. You will learn more on the characters after more episodes. Happy watching, it is a great drama!

Everything that XCS did was done transparent. He was honest discussing with his brothers. YG knew open from XCS that he is pursuing HH and they both "compete" for it. Unfortunately YG and CHJ went behind his back several times. First shamefull act of YG was to tell Xiaomei to give her pass to HHG clearly knowing XCS will not make it. That is the big difference I see. Everyone had their apport and support in their friendship but XCS was the only one who remained honest and true with them and not going behind their backs to make them suffer for personal gain.

According with the teasers he will build his own way through medical business. That will be great achievement working together with Xiaomei. Looking forward to see it happen 😊

Let me belive that people la XM and XCS still exists or at least to inspire us to become ones 😊 I love each of her explanation and decision up to now. What remained on my mind is how she took care of XCS dad without expecting anything. How many of us met or have or are these kind of friends who will take care of their parents if they are not around?! Got me linger for a friendship like that.

I am curious from the preview what happens that XM is crying and XCS tells her that he is happy she is the one.

And this is what the show mentioned also, some people will just shine outstanding regardless of their position or job and others will just drown in their mean thoughts and bitterness rather than accepting that some humans are just superior. As you said, sad but true.
