The final episodes got rushed , there were a lot of details from the novel that were either hastily glossed over or not even mentioned at all. For example, after Lu Tao was arrested, Shen Zhi was taken away by BLQ , he was beaten up to find out where Xiao Fan is, XF wired the money because he was worried about the situation SZ and Lu Tao(they are a couple) will be in after BLQ gets his revenge on them( which he did by getting LT arrested and SZ bankrupted I think) Xiao Fan feelings for BLQ are complicated, I think it stems from the fact that he wasn't treated as well or given as much affection as his other siblings then he thought he'll finally have an affectionate family member (wife) but that wasn't the case, XF put BLQ on a pedestal right from their first encounter, someone like that giving him the bit of care and affection he yearned for was basically KO ,the whole revenge plan was just to create a space for himself in BLQ's heart which he thought he didn't have but all BLQ has been doing for years is keeping their relationship under his mother's radar( she's the final boss/villainess btw ) and planning their future abroad together.

I'm not sure if it would be portrayed exactly but Xiao Fan executed a twisted plan to rid BLQ of all his money with someone unexpected (THAT was the twist because I didn't expect that connection from his school days) All this to escape from everyone (INCLUDING his family), I think this is where the scene of them discussing the FL leaving while watching the Bride with the white hair comes in place
