I really wanted to switch off my brain cells and enjoy this filler drama but when they touch upon certain subjects my brain just activated. What's with the TREATMENT of women in this drama 🤨. The whole it's a man's world, spraying testosterone left right and centre is not working well at all. Surely these men children know nothing about how to be a man. For instance Xu Do is being branded a slut that has slept her way through to the top and stil do to be where she is. TY can't fathom the idea that a woman is her boss and takes every opportunity to bring her down whilst playing the victim card. As a "gentleman" there is definitely a way of expressing when you differ in opinions rather than jumping to the fact that your boss is loose. Oh and the one time XD shows vulnerability and he happens to save her (eye-roll) he suddenly sees her as a woman...oh boo f**ng hoo TY. Man like this I can't stand them. And then we have the rich lady we haven't seen much of and already they label her as the arrogant icy diva...pft. Ah and we have Jason who likes girls because they are pretty, that's all....Are we objects😣 Nowonder he is about to be played, sorry not. Oh and he can't fold his ego when a woman point it to him of his unpalatable traits...pliz. I would have liked the professor if he wasn't hanging out with this bad bunch but like they say...Birds of the same feathers flock together. So in the end, lemme guess, the message will be Men are like this and women will eventually succumb....tsk tsk....utter Rubbish.
Zhang Han writes too...woow, Who knew. Actually, I really like it a lot. The story is not groundbreaking and yes, it has some cliches but it's entertaining to me and that's all I need. Sometimes, I just want to switch off my brain cells and have a good laugh. Ep 1 was hilarious...That hotel room mishap and how the friends were ready to bail him out without knowing what's going on made me LOL. The friendships are the highlight and yes, we will probably have some angst but I just wish it remains this fluffy. If I am to switch on my brain, then I will have a whole list of things I don't like/want but I choose not to and will go by what's being served. Plus these guys are freaking 🔥

P.S. I have noticed when the FL and ML are in the same age range, they have this fun, childish, adorable and charming like relationship bts. Esther and Dylan are like that. Lusi and Wulei were like that too.
When it's now half way through, I thought to check it now. And now I'm kicking myself for not waiting until it finishes airing cause, I have binged watched and I'm all caught up...sigh The Good Wife (US) is one of my all time favourite and I'm such a fan of the Female lead character (Alicia is a gal crush alright). So I have followed up on all the remakes. So far Japanese remake is my fav. because it's short concise and focused on the FL character but also around the cases. I disliked the ex-husband but not to the point of wanting to murder him each scene he appeared. The K-version is a bit boring to me. I would say the FL character portrayal is more like Alicia (US FL) though. Plus I had a dilemma of hating and swooning over the ex-husband. Let's just say Kversion has beautiful people. In this one, I like it actually because even though I know its a remake, somehow the execution feels like other Cdramas we have seen. So no harm no foul. Gosh I just hate the ex-husband...Now this is the one, I feel like murdering each time he appears.
hm alright so far altho i feel that the leads dont seem very compatible.
I actually think they do have chemistry, I mean given the few scenes they have together, the have managed to cultivate pretty great chemistry. Those eye contacts and little conversations they have are heart fluttering. Now I also think that they may not have that intense, palpable chemistry we see in other dramas plus OTP (Dream of splendour type of chem) because this drama is not really focused on romance. It's more centered on medical with very very little romance hence why.
Omg! I just wanna slap Yiming's sister....she is behaving like B*** right now. She literally doesn't know TJY and yet she dislikes her already based on the rumours she heard plus that her brother likes her 🙄 And to top it off, she tries to force that bratty reporter onto her brother despite knowing full well whom he likes. And now she jumped the gun and have TJY face one of her traumas aka her estranged family whom she didn't want anything to do with. She is literally pi***ng me off. Now if JY and YM end up together, she will literally be a sister-in-law from hell....tsk tsk

If I'm not wrong. GuangXi and his mother used to live close to Yike and her family so that's how they started knowing eachother. And then later, Yike's dad and GX's mother got married and I assume not long after, GX went to school abroad. If this is correct, it explains how GX and YK memories of eachother are when they were young only. Also why GX is not that close to the family like the rest. Also I think one of the leads made a reference of eachother saying next door neighbour etc which is why I inferred that they may have started as neighbours. Ofc I could be wrong.
Omg, this is the drama that's giving me all the LOL moments these days (Lord knows I need it). Our Queen is so much fun and I could watch JinFeng driving the Emperor crazy all day long. It's funny how the Emperor is so done with her and her antics but he also can't stop thinking about it and Her. Aiyoo, our Queen has really gotten under his skin for real. I just love Jackie Lee's comedic timing.
Love the way you are, pleasantly surprised me. Went into it with no expectations whatsoever except to pass up time but it has become more than that. I just love how the story of a woman in her early 30's juggling her personal life, overbearing father, work and a young hot brother is told. The beauty of this drama lies in it's simplicity with nothing too exaggerated or dramatic. Really went from trying to understand Yi Ke to now cheering her. And dare I say Angelababy is doing a pretty good job. And then we have Guang Xi who is just that perfect guy a girl can dream of. Yeah, I'm still processing the actor's age. His chemistry with Angelababy is remarkable and their romance is heart fluttering. When GX hugs Yi Ke, her body fits perfectly into his arms🥰 And thanks to this remake, I can at least let go of my anger of the OG evil mother. Although the dad is soooo annoying, but it seems he is redeemable after all unlike you know who. If there is one minor thing that bugs me it's the choppy transitions from scenes. Other than that, I love love this Drama.
Acting-wise no problem...I love all the leads and supporting cast. Buuuuut my anxiety lies with the story and the fact that it's a medical drama. Very rarely do Cdramas do this genre right so 🤔 🤷

If they finally get together, oh how I would love to be at their family events. Imagine introducing their relationship to nosy relatives. Like, so this is my son-in-law and daughter, and the mom will be like, and this is my son and daughter-in-law. And this is my husband and we are their parents... hehehe

Exactly, same as me. First 2 ep I was lost on why everyone likened it to SITR but at ep 3....I got the light bulb moment. I hate hate the evil mother in SITR...like she was soooo horible that I don't ever wanna experience her character again. I'm nervous because I'm seeing her character traits in Yike's father....
What's with this series being likened to Something in The Rain because I watched the latter and so far here I don't see the significant similarities. The leads set up might be a bit similar but then again in SITR the leads weren't related by their parents marriage whilst here they are. As for bad exes and workplace set up...well, that's common. I see this different from SITR. Am I missing something🤔 EDIT: Aaaah now on Ep. 3, I see some similarity.... My prayer is Not to have a crazy mom like SITR. The mother in the latter still infuriates me to this day.
