I like that there is a good balance of power and brains between the ML and FL. I am tired of dramas where the ML is the sidekick candy. ML is a strong character always played well by CZY and the FL is acted by veteran Wu Jin Yan. I have always enjoyed her acting and she brings depth to her character.
I enjoy the decisiveness with which the bad guys are dealt with and although they are sinister (the baddies), the FL and ML are invested in over throwing them. I am still waiting for the latest episodes to air and can’t wait for the discovery of many questions to be answered.
Will continue to follow the series with anticipation.
I started watching this and noticed a lot of controversy about the FL’s age etc and the disparity between the ML’s age. However there were no creepy scenes and the gradual love and affection was natural progression by a ML who restrained himself because the FL was his best friend’s girlfriend.
He never pushed or forced himself on her and in the entire drama, they never kissed. The love and affection was borne out of the ML’s respect for her, her character and her choices. It was a love story well done and never creepy.
It was in this environment of care and the ML’s principled character and his sacrificial choices that the FL blossomed and finally understood the true meaning of her own heart and who she loved. The FL was phenomenal in her first drama and will go on to be a wonderful actress. HMH was great as the strong yet sensitive (to his love for the FL) and truly played a hero worthy to be loved. A very satisfactory drama, well worth watching and I truly enjoyed it.
