Finally someone actually understands this. I always tell people the Chinese people chose communism bc of the time they were in. Ofc we cant say the people in charge didnt want power, but you can't also say they weren't geninue in their cause as of the time. People change. You can see this with people who gain power and got swallowed by it. A perfect example is Seungri. I remember GD said he used to love music, but now its about money. But ofc, most people are quick to dismiss me. They at the same time also had such shallow understanding of the time period and could care less.

Also I know some parts maybe exaggerated, but its a show. An excape from reality. I know a lot of adults and elders in my life who were VERY obsessive with watching this genre. To the point that I started to hate the sight of this genre. (I only watch DL for CY) They probably wanted to seek comfort in how satisfying the storyline are. I do this myself when I read faceslapping novels

Exactly, I hate seeing people just deeming it as evil ccp propaganda and government narrative. We still have people alive from that time. I rlly hate the people waving off the u forgettable trauma of a people with just government narrative and propaganda. As a decent human being, there has to be a limit to that propaganda talk and dismissive attitude

Well this isnt about the ccp vs kmt story. Plus what kmt did during that time period is also true. A rebellion dont just pop out of nowhere. It always happen bc of suffering people. If they were prosperous and everyone living happy, why would they want to have a devastating war? Lets start with the wenxi fire which the kmt government wilingly created which devastated ChangSha, killing 30k people. They do stuff like this, how do u expect people to sit still??

A little fact, this drama is not aired on any random date. 11.13 is actually the date of the WenXi Fire, one of the biggest fire disaster China has ever seen. It was a order by the kmt government to burn ChangSha to prevent Japanese from gaining an important city. It wasnt intended to be this bad, but it got out of hand and spread out, lasting for 5 days, killing over 30,000 people. 90% of the city was burned down. Not only did it devastated ChangSha's economic.

History was lost to the fire, too. This is the few cities in China that stood it original place from 2000 years ago. The historical relics accumulated from since the Spring and Autumn period was gone in the fire. ChangSha which was a 2000 year old city, it's ancient buildings also burned down. All cultural accumulation lost.

They really chosed a very meaning date to air this drama which takes the first battle of ChangSha as its historical background.

its the Yun Family that has connections. From his grandfather to his father, they have a lot of friends and allies very loyal and benefitted to the Yun Family. They are what we call a 书香门第 scholarly background family. His grandfather have a lot of students who come from big background. You can see this by the attitude of the ppl in ChangSha and what Wen YeMing's teacher said to her in ep 6

As far as I know from the og, mc was a child like a 10 year old child as Wu Geng before he reborn in A Gou's body. I dropped it though. the art style of both the manhua and anime is too gritty, not like in the adaptation

a lot of time, its bc the platform dont have high hopes of the drama so they keep shelfing it. bc we know for sure this drama ALREADY have their airing pass. we know they shelf it bc they look down on this drama bc iqiyi and the drama crew did ZERO promotion beforehand and only announce officially the airing date few hours before it goes live. And on cctv8, its scheduled for the worst time of the day where everyone's at work

thank gods nobody pick on him for being dub most of the time. They better not complain. These toxic cnetz who will complain about dub will the same group who complained about his voice

Your comparing us to that drama which flunk to DL which receive highest tv drama viewership aired in the worst time of the day but on cctv8. Plus most low budget anti Jap drama does this. You clearly not Chinese and never seen other dramas. I grew up with my dad only watching anti Japanese dramas and about only 10% of the dramas actually used Japanese dub
