when he died I was like the writers understand his character has to die, he's been sick from poison for too long...…
Haha a 2 season to develope this theory!

Yeah, I was also curious about that fact. Tbh, for me, I saw that only as "fan service". It doesn't make…
I think the writers didn't dare go that far because they knew the backlash that character generated. Although we eventually discovered he wasn't the great villain we imagined and that many of his actions had other motivations, the audience had already condemned him from the moment the Gu clan was exterminated. That event marked the character irreversibly. They could have redeemed him, even made us understand his pain, but turning him into the man Xihe ended up with would have been too much for most of the audience.

I thought the same.... Currently soo confused about how he survived.
Yes! But only a brief explanation from the doctor about his discovery of the antidote in it

Hahaha
And thank goodness the writers didn't decide to have the bully brother's soul revive Huayong's body! Or maybe they did?… 🤔

Probably the screenwriters made a conscious decision:
Prioritize the emotional ending over the explanatory one.

They wanted the viewer to be left with the image of that family reunited, the emperor at peace, and the characters finally finding their happiness. If they had gone into detail explaining all the logistical aspects, they might have diminished the magic of the ending. But for those of us who also appreciate logic, those unanswered questions leave us a little puzzled. 😉

Okay, I accept that he survived… but how on earth did they do it?

I would have loved it if they had dedicated five minutes to showing:

* who actually organized the rescue,
* where he was hidden all those years,
* how they managed to deceive everyone,
* and how he managed to stay alive without anyone suspecting a thing.

He didn't need a whole episode. Just a short flashback.

So upset after the preview of ep. 32 😒
I'm going to wait until they release all the remaining episodes because watching this drama in small batches gives me anxiety.

Title Overdo
Not a good one. The protagonists' performances seem forced.

A doubt:
Why in episode 24 Tu Li was waiting for Cen Ye outside the work? When did they know each other? And why in episode 25 is Cen Ye accompanying Miao home while Tu Li is there with her son? Have the two agreed on a plot to get Miao and Chen Yi back?

After seeing the ending and looking at episode 1 again, is there a possibility of a season 2?

Ugh, this two episodes per day is for the birds. Of course if they dropped 10 episodes per day I would still be…
