It is completely fair to have your own perspective, but a solid review should always be based on your own experience with the show. Relying on what a friend tells you or what you see on TikTok can easily warp your perception. The most valuable ratings come from judging the characters and the plot based on what you have actually watched yourself.
You dropped it because you didn’t like the relationship, and that’s completely fine, but calling the characters “toxic,” saying they have “zero emotional intelligence” and claiming they never fell in love is presented as fact when it’s really just your interpretation.
The fact that their relationship is messy, stressful and full of poor communication doesn’t mean there are no genuine feelings involved. In fact, flawed communication and emotional baggage are precisely what the story is exploring. Expecting the characters to behave perfectly would defeat the point of the conflict.
And “I’ve seen so much on TikTok” isn’t really an argument against the relationship or the writing either. If anything, judging the entire story based on clips and getting annoyed by what happens in episodes 5–6 seems premature.

How nice from hime 🥹 but I think they probably wanted to keep Luke cold and distant in the drama so that the Aurora scene would feel more impactful—the moment when his pride finally breaks and he admits how much he loves her.

The biggest problem in Luke and Flora’s relationship was their lack of communication. Even when they were already dating, Flora didn’t call Luke after her best friend killed himself. That really showed how emotionally disconnected they could be, even when they were supposed to be there for each other.
I liked The Early Spring, but honestly, I was waiting for her to say “I love you” instead of constantly settling for “I like you.” 😅
The chemistry was definitely there, but sometimes her reactions to Luke felt less like romantic love and more like pure physical attraction. Girl, we get it, you’re into him—but are you in love with him too? 😂 At times it felt like Luke was doing all the emotional work while she was just being swept away by him.
Still, despite my criticism, I’m giving this a solid 9.5/10 for the acting—the performances were fantastic. And 10/10 for canine Luke. 🤣 He absolutely stole the show!
Also, am I the only one who has seen pictures of Flora dressed as a bride? 👀 Is there an extra wedding episode/special that I somehow missed? Because I NEED IT. I also really missed seeing Luke’s parents properly meet Flora. Give us the wedding and the family scenes we deserved! 😂
