OMG....no...that's how Ling Buyi is...as a military general he has to come across as strict and no nonsense but his soldiers love him. Also he has had a 10 yrs revenge to investigate so he has no time to relax. The emperor even scolds him saying all he wants to do is go into battles instead of settling down with a wife and have kids. It's only when he starts coming across Shaosheng do you see him relaxing his coldness. If there is ever a love at first sight then it happened to Ling Buyi. The scene during the lantern festival when he looks down and spies her, that's when you see the little subtle softening in his face. Leo Wu did an amazing job in conveying his emotions! Wait until later episodes and you will see how incredible he is with his emotions.

I'm at ep 54...I do like Yuan Shen though. He has been nothing but supportive to Shaosheng & even Ling Buyi. He just doesn't know how to express himself and instead always comes off as a know-it-all arrogant scholar. We all know he fell for Shaosheng but in his awkward way, he does the opposite of how he wants to present himself to SS and instead he antagonizes her. When you hear his backstory, it's more for us to pity him because he went about it the wrong way from the get-go in trying to capture SS's heart. When he gets rejected by SS time after time, he tries to laugh it off but you can see the pain of rejection in his face and eyes. Afterall, is he not human too? I feel he puts on a fake facade of arrogance to mask his true feelings to protect himself because he never knew what love was...just like SS.

I'm watching it now but at times so put off by the Esther Yu's babylike girly voice. I know she's portraying a pure innocent fairy but sometimes it just gets too sugary to listen too...maybe I'm too jaded...lol...I love Dylan Wang in the "Devil" lead. I'm liking it so far!

Yes...Leo Wu as Zisheng is definitely swoon worthy! When Zisheng locks his eyes & heart on his lady, she is the only for him. He is still so young but so good in his acting and he will just get better as he ages.

Honestly I was majorly disappointed with the end. Why do all these dramas start off so promising and then have such a crappy ending. So FLX gave up his rule to spend his last years with BFX in a remote mountain top house? What happened to his promise to his father that he would be a good ruler for his state after he was given the heir apparent title? And BFX gave up her rule too? The long awaited fight with YWY was way too short. They spent way too much time with the war scenes and why did they have to kill off Pu'er!!! Just like in the Long Ballad they killed off the little sidekick too....argh! I felt this was just to drag out an emotional crying scene. I really missed the bantering and flirting they had in the beginning of the drama that seem to have so much promise of a great drama. The ending with them drawing each other's brows was a waste even though I'm sure it was conveying how happy they were to be together doing mundane things. I'm just glad they were together though. I just wanted more and was left feeling a bit empty

I agree with you! I went into this thinking I will see a strong female character and all I’ve seen so far is her being bullied & taken advantage of. She is far too “rational” and forgiving and takes the sacrifice onto herself. I despise self-sacrificing characters. I love strong women who will stick up for themselves and not be treated like doormats. I’m only around the earlier eps but the fl is frustrating me so much. Her mom is an absolute trip! How are you going to ur daughter's
workplace to harass her for not agreeing to marry a guy she’s only dated for 3 months?!!! Her mom is so unreasonable & annoying! Having gone through a divorce she should be the last person to tell her daughter to marry someone she doesn’t love! All these annoying people in her workplace. She’s in the legal department and has no clue about her rights as an employee?About workplace harassment? Zero tolerance?!Not sure I can continue with this. I need her to start speaking up for herself!

Or they can look like Men in Black like Lee Soo Hyuk and his team. Yeah...I didn't understand why she had to jump into the water to save them. Why couldn't she just snap her fingers like she did at other times especially when she was saving the bullied victim from falling off the building. I want them to have more power/magic.

So I started watching this last night and so far it's pretty good. The 1st story on the bullying was driving me nuts! The victim was so weak and pathetic and I found myself yelling at the screen for her to be stronger and fight back. I know she was traumatized from the bullying but I wanted her to finally get some backbone to fight back. But I liked the way it was resolved. Anyway, does anyone else think this drama is a little bit of "Sell Your Haunted House", "Hotel Del Luna"? The female lead, Kim Hee Sun also reminds me of Jang Na Ra in Sell your haunted house.

I binged all the way to ep 10 and now put on pause....I need to have more eps before I resume. But it's so hard.....I'm watching "Tomorrow" right now in the meantime....and so far liking this drama too.

I personally hate whenever there's any females that may have designs on the male lead other than the female lead...lol. I've seen enough dramas where this has happened and it causes me so much stress. I'm just glad to see so far that Feng Qiwu is not a calculating bi*ch that doesn't take no for an answer. I still don't know what Ms. Huan did to her master for him to kick her out (based on the trailers that I've seen). Do you know? I won't mind spoilers!

Yeah...I really hated the heavenly emperor in Eternal Love. But then I see he's the master for the Tianshuang sect and he's the complete opposite of his character in Eternal Love. But that's great that he can switch it up like that and not get stuck in certain roles. Good for him! And I also did notice we had couple of actors from that drama in this drama. The actors for Fengju and Huangchao were the Kunlun disciples in Eternal Love.

I find it sad since Lanxi is the rightful legitimate son to the throne. Fengju is the son of a concubine but seems to be given so many chances whenever he messes up. For a king that wants to hold onto his power, he really lets his so called queen rule the roost with her devious manipulations. His father is pretty pathetic. He has no idea which son is more deserving and trusting because he's too caught up in keeping his own power.

Besides the fact that he never saw her as a love interest...just a loyal trusted servant. She was the one that started to fantasize a love with her master especially after he gave her the hairpin after she sacrificed for him when she barred his brothers from seeing him in the earlier eps. I knew then that there was going to be a problem with Ms. Huan.

I'm just so friggin thrilled it's being aired on Netflix!!! I already binged watched and up to ep 10 and savor the few eps still to watch....now I have to slow down until more eps are aired. I love Yang Yang & Zhao Lusi together! I love that for once, Lusi plays a strong fighting character instead of a weak, needing to be saved female lead....even though HFX does come to her rescue many times, you know that BFX is usually kicking ass herself before he comes to her aid. I love dramas where I'm looking forward to the next ep instead of putting it on pause because I got distracted.

Omg! For real! I was at ep. 12 and didn’t realize it was the last one. I was waiting for the next ep to show all the wrap ups of the 2 couples and what happened with the Grandfather, etc. I was looking forward to the wedding and stuff but….BAM! It was the end! 😿🥺😳

Why not? You're going to tell me how to watch my dramas now? Lololol
