It is not "product of the time" or the necessary attributes of coming from a miltray family to knowingly threaten and entrap a gay man into marrying you against his wish, let alone having his lover killed and even threatening to repeat the act if he dares to escape from the hell you created for him. That is an extremely twisted logic to try to defend her vicious and indefensible actions. She had a choice. She could have found someone else whom she could love and who could love her back, but instead she chose to do what she did because she was a selfish and spolied rich socialie who thought she was entitled to have whoever she wanted at all costs. Simple as farting. There is no nuance.

It is actually quite hilarious that you previously condemned the cheating act - which was the only option for some gay men at the time - yet you try to crawl up to the glass wall to find excuses or reasons for her much more horrible and absolutely unncecessary actions.

She had a miserable and lonely life by the side of a man who didn't love her, and after Krailer has learnt what she had done he certainly even despiced and resented her from then on. I am not saying it is enough punishment but it is a punishment as well.

Someone above elaborated the situation and the outcome of the second couple. Their fate is not pontless just because you don't like it.

I have interpreted that they remained soulmates for the rest of their lives and they probably even kept contact. And when the 1973 coup d'état came and tthe Thai military was seriously damaged anything could happen. To me it is more open and bittersweet conclusion than sad.

Their ending was not fantasy Disney at all. They both went through a lot and they both made serious mistakes.

The petulant children in the comment section who think a story owes them giving a faultless rainbows and butterflies ending for their favourite couple did not understand the complexity of this excellent series at all.

And since when trusting in someone more to open yourself completely depends on how long you know the person?

I am very curious about what good side of Dhevi you could come with up after this.

I hope once Krailert made a baby for Dhevi he never touched her anymore and fucked one boy after another behind her back.

So those who felt so sorry for poor Dhevi and resented the "cheater" Krailert now could have a good look at themselves and next time they might not be so knee-jerk judgemental when they see infidelity in a series and probably consider life is not black and white.

Actually I am glad it is over today. I love this excellent series and it has burnt itself into my heart and soul forever, but I don't think i would be able to handle the stress, anxiety and heartache it pushed me through every week.

No one said the dad killed her with his own hands but that fat chance he had a part in her decision to commit suicide.

I am in two minds about Lert as well. I am not very optimistic, but on the other hand, if he decides to make a public announcement he must have something in his hands. Without evidence his words are just easy to be dismissed.

Maybe Trin is in Paris already. We see him wandering in Paris alone in the trailer. But he may sort things out with Lert before Lert sacrifices himself. In the trailer there is a scene where Naran walks to Trin at the terrace of the library. He probably tells him (almost) everything.
But Lert's death is pretty much being foreshadowed in episode 8 teaser. Naran reads what is perhaps his farewell note before Lert makes his press conference:
“Let’s fly beyond the clouds
Where tomorrow awaits
And we will be free”

But to make him a scapegoat and stage the assassination as a communist in-fighting do not really work at once. It is a contradiction.
