Victor's death did not come from nowhere. It was foreshadowed many times during the series. I could argue with the Tanwa part as well, but it is useless. People have already done it very eloquenty, and who cannot see just cannot.

The number of people thinking for some dumb mysterious reason that a hotheaded political activist (Victor) cannot be a lovelorn 19 years old at the same time, and callin g this "bad writing" is astounding.

The one who is going to be sent there must be someone who is either a student or who can impersonate a student and Krailer is clearly too old for that. And that is only beside the fact he would not even undertake such a task as well as the general would not assign a high- ranking colonel for an assassination. It would not make any sense.

And Tanwas is expected to care and have empathy for his abusive father who clearly had a part in driving Tanwa's mother to her death and then covering up her suicide, not to mention having a shady business that ruins so many lives. Some people are just unbelievable here.

Sooner or later he needs to decide. He cannot be on both sides in this game.

I agree that Dhevi is still a lot more likable than Dao. And while Dao is virtually nothing but a spoiled and selfish rich girl, Dhevi is actually really suffering and lonely.

Actually I have some problems with Dhevi as well. I know she is trapped in a loveless marriage to a gay man into which she was cruelly tricked without even knowing about her husband's sexual orientation (at least that is how it seems) but when she read Naran's article to Lert and said "They are trying to provoke you. If my father was still around..." indicated that she was fully aware of his father's getting rid off people who went against him and she seemed to be totally fine with this.

Loads of people talk about it actually.

Yawn reaction is urgently needed on MDL for the "I haaaatttteeeechhheeeeeaaattttiiinnnngggg" moanfest comments.

Actually if the climax of this series is the 1973 botched coup in Thailand and the successful student demonstration as well as the military regime forced to flee the country the story still has a chance to end on a positive note, even though it does not exclude the possibility of some of the protagonists ending up as fatal casualties.

But what kind of English-speaking background does he have? Do you know anything about him? I am interested. (I noticed his English pronounciation is very good too).

It is not very likely that most of the protagonists survive in this story to be in a season 2.

Thai (and other Asian) people still smoke a lot.

English background? He is Thai-Ukrainian as far as I know.

The reason people think they are doomed because they are both (or at least one of them) likely to end up as a deadly victim (or victims) of the military.

Not to mention it is a realistic story with cumulatively flawed characters. Another thing they just cannot swallow. Look at how some people want to pair up Trin with Victor just because Tanwa is a difficult case.
