Hmmm isolating from others, now I understand it more but I also remember the same theme in My Personal Weatherman…
There was nothing about it to make sense, to be precise.

This show is not bad at all. It is beautifully photographed, it has splendid locations and agreeable performances but the writing is often hair-rising so far.

So Hem - who is apparently looking down on and being an arsehole to someone just because his dream is not working there and motorbiking among hills of elephant poo - is yelling the hair of a city boy Fifa off - whom they all completely abandoned on his first working day - for accidentally causing food poisoning to an uncle about whose food allergy no one bothered to inform him in the first place? What mushroom the screenwriter was eating?

Bullshit on all possible levels.
1. Minors above age consent falling in love with older adults are romantic. It happens is reality and very often leads to beautiful relationships. None of your or anybody else's business.
2. Statutory rape for people above age consent is almost exclusively an American puritanical decease, in most of the civilized world there is no such nonsense.
3. What makes BL fans uncomfortable watching is irrelevant, since the majority of them are neo-bigoted teenage girls with zero life experience. They should grow up or do not watch adult content.

Idk....didn't expect such a news. We just got the side of the victim so idk. I can't hate him 😭😭
Netizens never change and never learn. It seems no matter how many real life examples we see that people should at least give everyone the very minimum of basic human right of waiting with judgements till the investigation is over and the court verdict is being done, they jump on the band wagon of martial law knee jerk, only for the sake of virtue signalling. Scary times.

I think if people were watching the series form the beginning, probably should know it won’t be a happy ending.…
Newsflash for you: When you say "people can voice their opinions" that includes me, and if I feel I need to heat up over stupid opinions I am equally entitled to do so. That is the two way street of freedom of speech.

Could you all fucking idiots stop your bullshit? There are tons of Chinese BLs with happy endings even since the ban. At least do your research before spouting rubbish like "what do we expect, it is Chinese'" and "I know how this passed censorship".

You can dislike the ending - which is not tragic but bittersweet anyway- but this has clearly nothing to do with the BL nature, we have seen similar in straight romances. This is an artistic choice.

The number of petulant and cretin spoiled brats on this site is astounding.

On When It Rains, It Pours Feb 9, 2025
Title When It Rains, It Pours Spoiler
So many folks keep saying Kaori has "stopped liking sex" with Hagiwara or does not find him sexually attractive "anymore". What the hell?

Isn't that obvious by now that she never wanted to have sex with him? She thought she had found a very good guy and literally ensnared and trapped him into a sexless relationship. She seduced him into a love hotel at first and gave him some breadcrumbs of sex at the beginning then gradually withheld everything once she felt their relationship was established.

She might have been very much of a gaslighting person in bed too. Haven't you paid attention what Hagiwara said before he and Sei had sex?
"I can’t do it. Um
can we just do this normally? Not like this whole “Here it goes” or “Okay, I'll put it in” kind of thing
"
And haven't you noticed Sei's reactions? "I’m not gonna break or anything " and "You’re neither bad nor dirty".

Kaori must have been like a china doll in bed and made Hagiwara feel awful for "intruding".

This is exactly why I love Japanese dramas in general. They often navigate humanity with its flaws and don’t…
Shinomiya is Hagiwara's colleague at work. I suppose you meant Kaori.

It's not because of actor is hot LMFAOOO it's because some people are finding Sei more right, and some find Hagiwara…
"He smiled at her and said he is gonna take a shower like a normal day. This is also very red flag behaviour but I'm pretty sure you didn't even noticed because you like Hagiwara"

What about instead of stupid "red flagging" not re-writing what is happening on the screen just to fit your agenda? Hagiwara is spectacularly troubled, unsmiling and nervous when he meets Kaori at home and he tries to avoid eye contact with her as much as possible. Actually the reason why Kaori checks his phone is exactly that she feels from his behaviour that something is off.

"Suddenly became a villain"?? What?? That man has been gaslighting, controlling, acting stand-offish, isolating,…
Then block me now, at least I am not coming across mentally unstable nutjobs here like that. Put your straight jacket on and hide in your rubber room where you don't have to be afraid of being "abused" by people telling you things you don't want to hear. Lol.

Hmmm isolating from others, now I understand it more but I also remember the same theme in My Personal Weatherman…
This has already been brought up here. I said it there but now I say it again: It is a very perfunctory comparison to make the situation in My Personal Weatherman parallel with Sei and Fujisawa Kazuaki.

Mizuki and Yoh live in an absolutely consensual dom-sub relationship, for them these are roles they both happily undertake, these roles suit their personas and they complement each other. Yoh is an extremely introverted, somewhat childlike and unviable character by default who actually enjoys living a reclusive life as a manga artist. This lifestyle is not forced upon him. That is what he likes and he is not abused at all, on the contrary, his preferred lifestyle is being financially sustained by Mizuki. Furthermore Yoh is not isolated, he has a few friends whom he meets regularly, he just does not have to work in a community which would be a discomfort for him.

Nakarai Sei obviously dislikes this control in his life, he just feels he has to put up with it. Very important and substantial difference.

FORCED? So verbally ASKING someone to have sex or watch him jerking off is FORCE to you? Are you mental?

Probably spite, what was the reason she broke Sei his present for Hagi? The weather bulb. Or she took it with…
You give her too much benefit of doubt. Btw so much for that she is not the kind of person who checks her partner's phone - unlike Hagi's lady colleague. She lied about this too.

So why is there 10 episodes in the app where I watch this Drama ?
I am not sure about it is being 7 episodes either. When it started, Gaga displayed 7 episodes indeed, but now it is not there, if you check it, while in all of their other dramas they display the total number of episodes. Otaku indicates 8 episodes, though they are jus as much an unofficial hobby site as MDL.

Same!! I honestly have a hard time blaming Nakarai for looking for physical contant from someone else. He is not…
That does not explain anything. The Gaga translation is inaccurate, as many others have already expressed, but even that is vague on its own. I have watched it with a more proficient fansub too, and there what Fujisawa said was something like "he says he cannot see me as an object of romantic interest, but he says he wants to stay by my side". This is manipulatively ambiguous enough to keep his hopes up.

This is Stockholm syndrome. Why is Boss still living with his violent abusive evil father? He needs to gtfo. Pai…
So here we are again. An abusive, horrific pseudo-human father who keeps beating the sh*t out of his son and now his lover as well, plus threatening them with a gun is given instant forgiveness after shedding a tear and shown drinking a glass of whisky, because the poor monster has been abandoned by the son whose life he had made a living hell? Are they totally insane? This sh**tb**g of a father deserves to rot in hell.

When will Asian dramas stop normalizing this behaviour? The creators of such stories are seriously sick and fucked in their heads.
