Thai bls are very popular,but I can't bring myself to watch them anymore,I used to watch them long ago though. I went through the same problem,if the storyline clicks the acting doesn't and if the acting clicks the storyline doesn't. And I love the way Chinese bls use the eye acting technique. Thai bls have a lot of potential,but they aren't using it properly. I am loving basically every Chinese Bl except one or two,but for Thai bls,I am basically ignoring everything. But recently a Thai BL named the edge of horizon came out,I am liking it. The actors can do the eye acting here.

I am both surprised and not surprised too about guan yue,he was a main lead in so so so many dramas,but looks like seeing the momentum Chinese bls are getting nowadays. It's almost always a hit if the acting is good. This is a good news actually. And double helix did have a high budget,and revenged love had a tight budget but they used it cleverly.
