This may be an unpopular opinion, but this is a luke warm romance at best. Its honestly more bromance than anything, which is typical of Krist. It is still so obvious that he is uncomfortable with the 'gay' stuff. I will acknowledge his kissing has improved somewhat from SOTUS, at least he isn't immediately wiping it off after each kiss (except that one time) but also shows ZERO affection as Kawi. This show highlights why GMMTV leads in their BL dramas, in that they have good writing (although this show is missing some opportunities) and good actors. Krist and especially Gawin (who is doing his damn job well), are great actors. I really believe that is why this ahow is doing so well. But if you really look at it, there isn't much chemistry between them. In character at least. off screen they come across as good bros. The literal definition of PhiNong. On screen though, meh. Piseng definitely looks and acrs like he is love, so like I said, Gawin is doing his job well. Kawi has been an asshole to Piseng this whole show and even when they got together, he still has been an ass. Zero affection, even sniff kisses Krist turns away from. He only ever actually kissed him when he was drunk. Other than that he avoided them. The constant hitting! Sheesh! The NC scene...come on! Kawi was like 'if I didn't ever have to, for the rest of our lives, I would be good!' Thennnn be ftiends then, cause that is what you are describing. I thought maybe they were going down a asexual route, but nope. So why did Kawi want to be with Piseng? He kept asking Piseng why he liked him, well why do you like Piseng? They never showed once why Kawi wanted to be with Piseng, other than Piseng was always there for Kawi and Kawi is kind of a mess. That isn't love. Codepency, sure. He never once has looked at Piseng like he did for Pear. No doe eyes. Which is where the writing failed this show. Its a key factor into why this show is just so-so for me. I waited to watch it because...well, as much as I loved SOTUS (it was my gateway BL), it was flawed in that Krist always acted like Arthit didn't actually like Kongbob back, that he was forced to be in the relationship. And that is the same problem with this show. He gets confessed to and then feels like he is obligated to be in a relationship with this person. So many wasted opportunites to show that Kawi genuinely loves Piseng. Take the theme park. He wanted to go to avoid sex (wasted opportunity #1- why not have him be interested, even excited but scared since it was his first time, as those are normal reactions, instead of being repulsed which IS NOT), then when Piseng said lets play, he was an ass and refused to go do something Piseng wanted (wasted opportunity #2 he could have gone scared, but done it, clung to Piseng and then they could have showed him having the time of his life, which would have made him realize that sometimes scary things turn out hella fun (Max kind of touched on this but this would have sealed the deal).
The montage in this last episode was also wasted. It looked like two besties over the years. One or two scenes where they were making out, making love or even simply kissing with out Kawi looking grossed out would have made it seem like lovers and not friends.
Sigh, oh well. I will not be shipping GawinKrist. I pray GMMTV finds a forever partner for Gawin, cause he deserves it! He is such a good actor, and I cannot wait to see what else he can do. Krist just needs to stay out of the BLs.

Finally binged this. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. But wasn't good either. It could have been. Yet another series that had potential, but was wasted on bad writing and even worse acting (Gun ruined like every scene he was in with all the grimacing and awkawrd hugs) I sort of liked the plot twist but since it wasn't laid out clearly (at least not for me) that they were all the same people, it fell flat. I was still trying to figure out if Thana was Mai. And also, if Mai loved Ryou with alk his heart, why would EVER cheat on him?! Also who is Darin? Who did Dena become in the future? I saw today there is going to be another Lumonious series with Kaownah, so maybe they will clear stuff up.

I have mixed feelings. I cannot tell if Dunk is just a newbie actor or is it flpoor directing. Cause he did well conveying he was feeling some type a way when he found out his friend was in a relationship. But whenever they had scenes, that he later flashes back on before the kiss, he didn't come off as feeling touched that Joke was doing these things for him, it was feeling very friendzonie. But then when he confessed to his heart racing and laid one on Joke, I FELT his feeling for him. That kiss was top tier. I just think Joong and Dunk need a superb director to bring out of them their potential, cause I feel they have what it takes. Also, side note, I feel that kiss was so good cause that was JoongDunk kissing not JokeZo. Joong has gone on the record for loving Dunks lips and it showed. Also Dunk never seems to mind kissing Joong and again, it showed.
I am.also liking the pacing of this show. Only at episode 4 and feeling are revealed. No waiting around, while each show their feelings to everyone but each other. Here is hoping that Joke tells Zo out right that he is into him.

Another assessment we can agree on. I can't place my finger on what's off either. Its like its trying too hard or something. And AMEN about the kiss! It drives me nuts when they do the surprise kiss and they just stand there open eyed stiff mouthed. Nobody would freeze in a surprise kiss unless they felt in danger. And even 8/10, they would offer up some resistance if they didn't like it. But when someone you actually likes kisses you, baser instincts activate even if you regret it later. The scene would have been better if he had given into the kiss and then gasped/pushed away, like oh shit, what did I do.

Yeah, its been that long and I still hold out hope. But then again, I still hold out hope they will finish My Engineer...I need to know how RamKing do! 🤣 I am just hoping the delay is because she already had other series planned, so this got pushed to the back. Maybe if someone started a hashtag campaign it will get a fire lit under them. It cannot be me as I do not have Twitter, but hopefully some kind soul will do it!

100% agree about the lack of edge/passion. In the novel and in the original Addicted, you understood why it was called addicted. They were both obsessed with one another, just displayed in different ways. While I like this story so far, that lacking edge is making it not as good as the original, even without the ending, sex and violence. The top notch acting by everyone, even cliche evil girlfriend is what is making this show good to me. I appreciate, and understood what you said, unlike that other comment...yeesh! SMH, reading is fundamental and some folks is just plain mental...

Yes, already started The Wedding Plan. I think it will be fine as long as they add no drama. It will be cute fill in. I need Mame to get her shit together and get Leon and Pob's story out cause I need to know what happens next! And SmartJames deserve more rolls, they were great together. It was really good in some spots, especially the beginning. And anything including Wahu and Weha. No notes, they were a solid pairing and storyline. In fact everyone but the actor who played Pitch was great. And maybe he was great because someone wrote Pitch that way, but I don't think so...either way, that was the worst part for me. Any scene with Pitch in it. Throw the whole character away. And they must have cause he went missing for the last 2-3 episodes.
Acting was actually really good in this, out side of Pitch. Susie was a bitch, and it was weird to try to redeem her behavior as just protecting them from her experiences. Like her rules didn't mean anything if she didn't tell them why the were in place.
Outside of Weha and Wahu, my favorite character was Pawin. Sooo messy! And I am glad he didn't fall for Korn's shit. I really wished they had shown them casting for the show they were going to be on together. That is a season two I would watch.
Sun was majorly scary and Inneed a side story explaining what he did to Host and what he did to get in jail cause they never said and he looked like he ate people for funsies.
I was kind of hoping that Sin was in on it with Soh, but I wasn't mad at the ending.
I do need someone to explain why everyone seemed to be head over heels for Pitch. Cause I really don't get it.
Overall, goodish show. Good NC scenes, some good messy messy drama.
Sidenote: I need to know was this written by a man, because all these women screaming like they were getting murdered everytime they were mad was nuts. I don't know one person who behaves like that. It felt like a stereotypical hysterical woman symptom, and just...yuck.

At first I was like, nope, this is gonna be awful. A Cringefest 3000, if you will. The voice over and the sound effects were too much. But they dialed it down toward the end there, so it went from, gah, another bad Thai drama to okay, this was funny. I'll admit that Nuea/Pak's voice got on my nerves at first, but again, it grew on me or the over acting got to ed down just enough to make it watchable. I hope that the storyline of Lom deceiving Nuea doesn't last long and he lets Nuea in on the ' we have to get married for looks only' trope. I am also hoping they explain next episode WHY Yiwa and Lom have to get married. I am hoping for light and silly, with zero to minimal drama. It was nice to see Prai, Sky, Payu and Rain.

Another show that had potential, then suddenly goes left. I wonder if they ( the BL industry) collective decided that to get away from trope endings, they were just going to start throwing stuff together for the last few episodes of every drama.
I really disliked what they did with the soulmates idea, especially (surprisingly) with the parents. While I liked that in the end they were still 'soulmates' and had no ill will toward one another, their reason for divorce bothers me as a mother and a wife. The mom was distant and cold through the whole show. She was kind of mean. The kids expressed that she was never there for them and only cared about work. As a mom, there isn't anything more important than your kids. And while I respect and believe that a woman should pursue and be allowed to excel at her job even as a mother, there has to be balance. Her husband just asked her for sometime. Not all her time, just like can you think of us sometimes and was like nope! Let's break up. Huh?!?! Then why bother getting married and having FOUR children!?! And her unwillingness to change for her husband and family doesn't bode well for her new marriage, because marriage is all about give and take and making adjustsments to ourselves for our partners as we both change over the years. To be soulmates and be like, naw, you and our kids aren't important enough for me to figure out how to balance work and family. That whole family scene was designed to make us like the mom or understand her and I really didn't. She was selfish. They should have picked a better reason. Or if they kept this reason, not try to make her out as this mom who was just misunderstood.
Then the whole Lomfon/Patt/Tai soulmates thing...why mess with it if you weren't going to explain why it happened? How did they get their hearing back? Why did Lomfon, who did not have hearing loss suddenly join the chat? Why was Lomfon always looking so weirdly at Tai the whole first half of the show, if he didn't remember that Tai was the one who rescued him?! And really, he fell in love with Tai...when? Was it the 40 second rescue where he barely saw his face? Or the brief moments he met him with his other crush, his brother? Huh?!
Also irked me that there were several unnecessarily long scenes, while we got little to nothing of Lomfon and Tien or a reunited PattTai. The parent/family scene was way too long. The Chiangmai (as beautiful as it is) tour was too long. What was the whole weird out of gas meet a couple including a whole flashback scene? Like the ONLY reason to include that is if they knew where Patt was and could point Tai in the right direction. Otherwise, what was the point?!? Last unnecessary scene was the after credit ending. I agree with Tein, seriously!
Thai Bls are disappointing as crap this year. I need less product better quality/writing/plot. While on paper, more BLs seems like a good idea, if they are like this, they can keep it.

Hehe! Sorry for the acronyms! Yes, those were the shows I was talking about! I only rewatch favorite parts. Then I'll go back if I haven't seen one in a while and rewatch. MSP was amazing! It is definitely in my top 10 BLs. But I love teen romances and musicals and they combined that really well. The OSTs were amazing as was the story. When you are in the mood for fluff, no drama romance, this is perfect.

Love in the Air was great (especially their NC scene! Top Tier! 🤣) My favorite scene though is when Prai confronts Sky about his feelings. (Even though Peat didn't do a good job crying... but that's betwen you and me!)

I put off watching it cause Golden Blood sucked and they have the same lead. I'll binge it when I get bored enough. Same with Love Syndrome. It looked like it would be a hot mess and from the reviews, I was right. It another one I am in no rush to watch. I'll just keep rewatching the good ones (still not over LITA, MSP, SE and CBIW)

Hey Lennie Hey! 🤣 I have been well thanks so much! I'll admit to being super disappointed this year in BLs. The last great one was the 8th Sense. That was everything! Right now, I am watching them all, but taking my time cause they have been like this drama. Good in the beginning and then dropping the ball! GMMTV is so far the strongest in dramas. But I miss the days of ITSAY or UWMA. Just epic dramas that are well acted, writte and produced. Getting ready to dive into La Pluie. I am sooo excited for the new Cherry Magic. I just saw the behind the scenes for Laws of Attraction, I just hope subtitles will be available. Hope you have a great weekend!
