First Drama I've given 10/10, WORTH EVERY COMPLIMENT I COULD GIVE
I'm not even sure where to start with this review. I absolutely LOVED this drama. The story is gripping and well-acted, twisting but not convoluted, and amazingly they manage to keep everything logical, understandable, and interwoven despite the story taking place over almost two decades and switching between time periods to cover different events. All of the characters were well fleshed-out, but to me the best the performance was given by Pan Yueming, who plays the older cop He Yuanheng. The drama in no way needed to be CARRIED, but he certainly was the emotional backbone and very convincingly acted as a man in very different stages of his life. An excellent drama all around, and very satisfying at the end.......Also I cried, like. A lot.
