So after the last episode I think I'm going to put a pause on watching this for the time being. I enjoy my fair share of toxic BLs, ABO Desire was great in my opinion. However this one is proving to be more frustrating than enjoyable. The stubbornness between XC and LF, as well as the younger brother having some odd hatred towards LF and sabotages the relationship. Then tries to have a guy who's into him date XC instead and lie.
I feel like I need some sort of worth in watching this and if it's not the younger brother facing the consequences for what he's done, then I think I'm set on continuing to watch this one.
Ugh this was a pain but I finished it! Why did I put myself through it though?! Why did I even started this when…
I'm on episode 4 and I'm already contemplating just skimming through or just dropping the series as a whole. I got to the point where Toh overhears a conversation and we're not even in like half way through the series and the flags are waving red in his face. It's so blunt and right in his face, he ends up crying and then I realized this just started so that means there's going to be more of this! I can't honestly it's not feeling worth it to just sit through it.
Okay so I want to give Akin the benefit of the doubt, but this is getting to be too long and drawn out for me. Like I know in order to stretch this series out they need to keep us hanging but it's starting to take a toll on the series with the many dumb choices being made in the main couples plot. Like I don't understand why Akin would ghost Than to take care of his supposedly illegitimate child. It makes more sense to tell Than that the girl called and go from there about the issue. If Than doesn't know her, if he has no prior contact with her and you're only listening to your messy friends. I think you've lost the plot and need to actually have a serious conversation with Than and go from there.
So I just started episode 6 but I wanted to say this because it made no sense to me. I understand that Jaemin hasn't really done anything in front of Daon for there to be any suspicion. However if Suhyeon is basically telling Daon that Jaemin is not who he seems to be, then his sister who as far as I know doesn't really have any interactions with Jaemin and also Jaemin doesn't know where she works at or anything like that. IF SHE WAS TELLING ME ABOUT HOW CALCULATED EVERYTHING SEEMED AFTER THE INCIDENT. Oh honey I'm suspicious of that man instantly and need answers to my questions.
Exactly like waiting a whole damn week and at the end u get what 😑
Like it's nothing against the actors themselves, it's just that parts of the story I feel like it could've been concluded sooner or at least had some slight progression to it. However because they have to stretch it out for 16 episodes, they have to draw out parts of the plot to meet that quota. It's mainly the Shen Wen Lang and Gao Tu plot I'm having trouble grasping on to really. Because when watching I've seen too many openings where Gao Tu could be exposed for being an omega that Shen Wen Lang should be at least suspicious by now.
Okay so I'll be honest here, the series is kind of getting dry for me at the moment. It's like long drawn out the whole reveal to what's been going on. I'm really hoping that next episode something gets revealed to further progress the story because right now it just kind of feels stagnant. My biggest complaint is mainly the second couple really, I feel like this episode there wasn't really anything stopping Shen Wen Lang from finding out that Gao Tu was an omega but I guess we're making like he's just THAT dumb so he doesn't find out.
I just now realized that Feng Jian Yu, the person who was Wu Sou Wei in the 1st Counter Attack drama was in this drama! This makes watching all the more cooler now because I get so excited seeing him in another BL after that!
Okay so I caved and went back to finish episode 18 and I cheered when Chi Cheng looked Wang Shuo directly in his eyes and said he doesn't love him anymore and that his heart belongs to Wu Suo Wei. Had me pretty happy and it's game over for Wang Shuo after everything, I guess he should've probably calculated that Wu Suo Wei would find and send the video where he framed Guo Cheng Yu (I don't know why he would record that in the first place anyways, that was incriminating in itself there).
So I've been watching Revenged Love for a while now, I even watched the 1st iteration which was counter attack…
However this episode for me is a skip episode, I got pissed off when WSW didn't come clean right then and there about everything with CC. So at that point I instantly paused and went to another show. I'll touch back next week and hopefully they reconcile sooner than later. WS right now is a pain in my neck and I hate that all it takes is for WSW and CC to come clean to each other to foil WS plans but it's not happening.
So I've been watching Revenged Love for a while now, I even watched the 1st iteration which was counter attack so I'm happy that they're giving it a second breath of life. However...
I feel like I need some sort of worth in watching this and if it's not the younger brother facing the consequences for what he's done, then I think I'm set on continuing to watch this one.
