It’s a mid drama, nothing to write home about. Can see it being one of those filler type shows. For a 10 episode drama, you’d think we would avoid draggy parts, but there were plenty. Even with the addition of super star Yoo Yeon Seok, yeah surprised me too, his face doesn’t show on the cast until the very end, it didn’t help.
Boring in so many parts, and complete lack of chemistry for the leads. Kiss scenes were flat and far too long paused. They looked forced and uncomfortable. Even amongst their tension I could have cared less.
Not as great as I hoped. Quite honestly just because Netflix is airing it isn’t a given for a great show anymore. 2025 has been extremely flat for dramas for some reason.
This is on IQIYI for those looking for this crazy as all get out show. Red flag ML, in 95% of the scenes you’ll be hard pressed to find anything that remotely resembles he cares about her, not enough glimpses of that for me. These short vertical dramas are always a hot mess tho lol, so no difference with this one. Its extremely bingeable despite the silliness. Finished really suddenly and abrupt. Still not clear whether they are in a good relationship lol. Needed another 50 episodes to convince audience they are in a better place!!!
Was waiting for the chemistry everyones yapping about, I mean the leads fit well, ML grows on you quickly. Suits this role. But the romance feels wooden at times and the kissing, seems like ML knows what hes doing while FL just stays still. Its obvious for all to see. Theres a few mouth bumps too, like come on wanna star in romance dramas give us some honest to goodness decent scenes.
Plot was good for a while the last 6 or so episodes took a nose dive. Some characters turning south real fast. It was ok. I skipped a lot towards the end. Unecessary typical tropes and story, and extremely silly at times, but it will also make you smile. Worth it during a drama slump.
Ugh what a waste. Even when watching almost the entire thing on double speed. I skipped the last 4 episodes and didn’t miss anything. So tropey. Bad acting. Cdrama heavy breathing of the past. Vibes are those short dramas they play on reels. The trashy kind. So unrealistic. None of the story makes sense. So much thats just silly lol. 🤦🏽♀️ Not sure why its even rated at 7 on here!
Trigger warning: This show is a hard watch if you can’t watch child abuse. I’m sure none of us like it, I’m just saying it took me by surprise in one scene and was repulsive. There are some very difficult scenes so be warned. I couldn’t rate this above 8.5, despite my sheer admiration to how this show was cast, and how well they played their roles. The script is the biggest let down because there are hole after hole left unanswered. I will say it is WONDERFUL yes louder in the back for the Korean directors to hear, wonderful to have a sageuk WITHOUT the stupid controlling right or left state ministers over the King tropes. So this was much enjoyed. My Dearest was probably the last historical drama I watched that this even comes close to, and even then its not a patch on My Dearest. ML fighting skills are FIRE. Incredible. This show needed to be 16 episodes-whichbis something we are not usually saying. The romance intensifies far too quickly and there’s too many things left unanswered for me. I also hated the ending, but that might be just me. I always knock off at least a star if the ending is meh. It was silly.
Horrible story, acting. If you love shouting leads from start to finish you will like this show. The script is someone pressing repeat the whole time. So much angst in bedrooms. Racing to find each other. Waiting at the porch in anxiety and then boom yelling at each other again. Its so dumb. A classic? Not sure why anyone is rating this above 5. There are waaay better shows from this era. Not much romance, for a romance tag.
A really silly drama, by that I mean trying hard to be funny, you can’t take it seriously, but everything is bad and exhausting. The one point where she seems to be honest is fleeting and we are back to square one. If anything 2ML is the biggest trope here that should’ve been fulfilled. Terrible ending.
Easy watch, and after a disaster of a show with A listers (Eat Run Love) it was extremely refreshing to come binge this much lower budget but high energy minidrama from the Republican era. I quite enjoy cdramas from this era, and they killed it in costume, set and script. Thankfully its short, because I don’t think the overall plot was worthy of being dragged out any. The chemistry between leads is fire, and although there are questionable moments that seem to be brushed over as OK because plot dictates- the actors did an amazing job.
So many minidramas try to do what thos show succeeded as, but they fail miserably. Good job folks, cringey at times, humorous and enjoyable.
oh geez what happened? Arthur Chen needs a better agent. This script was absolutely horrendous. The FL is horrible, and is justified in walking away from him only once, and you will know it when you see it. The world revolves around her the entire rest of the series. In her self righteous poverty, or later in her self righteous hate. ML is running after her the entire show trying to make her moody face happy. Script, Director or actress, probably a combo of them all-did no favors. The script is extremely trashy. Plot holes everywhere you look. Using cancer to trick ML - abhorrent.
Disney+ wake up to the facts and lets get this show on the road. The cyberbullies shouldn’t win dumb fights. These actors are crucified in social media over lies because idiots believe the first things regardless of evidence and truth. There are enough of us in this world who have IQ to see thru witch hunts and money grabs and its all coming to light. Stand by your actors.
Oh for goodness sakes MDL why list the allegations without following it up with updates of how the ones who made up tge crap are admitting they lied and ge is countering all of this with multiple lawsuits. Please don’t feed into the nonsense by not reporting the rest of the story on this actors bio. Shame on you.
