Spectacular Series and Acting

Yep, you have to watch S1 to appreciate S2 more. Lee Je Hoon is a national treasure. He's such a versatile actor and each role he's done, has been nothing short of excellent. He's brilliant in TD2. He's a sexy MF, flirty, and adorable at the same time.

The Rainbow Taxi Co. Crew are equally spectacular. The chemistry betwern Jang Hyuk Jin (Mr curls) and Bae Yoo Ram is just so cute and funny. The sister Pyo Ye Jin is quick and clever and loving. I'm glad they didn't go the romance route. And then Mr Kim Eui Sung also played some roles in this season. So great.

Storylines were so good and well executed. The villain Shin Jae Ha was brilliant. For one so young, he has embraced his inner villain . He's so convincing. Good job.

I for one can't wait for S3 and that teaser was enticing.

A definite rewatch, if not just to appreciate LJH in black jeans?. 15 out of 10

Okay to watch

I watched this because I love Ji Sung so much. He's brilliant at everything he does. And he did in this one too. Everyone was great, just too much running and too much crying.

The female lead's part irritated me to say the least. Too obsessive about him to the detriment of her job. Never have i wanted a couple to never succeed. They had no chemistry and that's putting it mildly. Everything always ended in tears.

The nurse with the vendetta just disappeared into thin air. So she wanted an apology, so why not say so. The story was all over the place.

Worth watching but not a 2nd for me.

Too long and too slow

Where do I begin?
1. The story was too long and too slow. This should've been completed in 10 episodes
2. Some of the actors irritated the living daylights out of me.

Never, ever, ever have I DISLIKED A LEAD ACTRESS, the way i did in this drama. Let me count the ways Eun Pyo really grated on my nerves:
1. SHE WAS AN ABSOLUTE DOORMAT! No backbone whatsoever. GOODNESS I wanted to get into the drama and beat the living daylights out of her.
2. She was an obsessive individual with no sense of self worth. Obsessed with her ex boyfriend and then obsessed with taking the guilt of her ex friend's passing, In that she forgot that she was a married woman with two kids. Sure you got dumped, but focus on your family FFS!
3. She was a people pleaser
4. She was disloyal to her husband who loved her
5. A holier than thou individual
6. No sense of right and wrong- expecially in dealing with her husband and Chun Hui
7. The way she spoke in THE ENTIRE DRAMA made me grind my teeth in annoyance. She literally spoke ONE WORD A SECOND. Do you know how slow that it? Excrutiating!!
8. The way she figuratively went on her knees when speaking to her former abusive employer. Like he was a god or something.
9. The way she WAS ALWAYS SUBSERVIENT with those in higher positions
10. The way she never defended herself when accusations were being thrown at her
There're more instances but i don't want to make this about this stupid role. I don't think ill be watching anything else of hers.

Now back to the story. A good storyline, but was too long. The portrayal of women in this drama was so bad. They spend most of their lives either being bullies against other women (it is Korea after all), they spend most of their time gossiping, with no interest in the truth, they're liars, jealous, envious, pushy mothers on their kids just for them to be better than the other mothers, faithless, shallow.

It was too long an dragged out.
5/10

Nicely Done and worth a rewatch

Now this is what I call a great ending to a drama. Doesn't happen much with KDramas, but I must say The Glory tied every loose end, perfect ending and as it should've been

All perpetrators got their just desserts. It's a pity that in real life, this doesn't seem to be the case for actual victims, as the law in Korea continuously fails them.

The bullying culture in Korea, especially towards poorer, weaker people, classism and bribery is so disappointing, but sadly cannot be resolved.

SHK and the entire cast did a phenomenal job. Was current, realistic, heart-felt acting.

But my Grand Award goes to my girl Yeom Hye-ran. My word, I LOVE THIS WOMAN!! Everything she does is top notch! She absolutely deserves an award for this role. She embodied this role and made the viewer feel her pain, joy, anger. She's amazing!!

Another one who was a great villain was Lim Je-yeon. She was excellent and one couldn't help but despise her to the end. Job well done.

Seriously, the cast was really great. The husband with that inert danger to him, the fickle friends. Even our Singles Inferno 2 sweetheart, Lee So-ee did a good job.

SHK fitted the moody, sad role, as per usual, BUT THERE WERE A FEW SMILES HERE AND THERE! So, a win's a win ?.

All in all ..9/10

Lifting the lid on S. Korea school violence and lack of justice snd accountability

This story inspired by a true story really upsets me. As an international KDrama fan, the way art imitates life in these dramas, especially in the:-
1. the heinous ways Koreans treat their employees,
2. the way they treat people they perceive are "lower class",
3. the ageism,
4. colorism,
5. racism,
6. bribery and corruption
7. lying to get ahead,
8. lying for money and ruining other people's lives,
9. Violence of all types towards women
10. obsession with beauty
11. obsession with marrying rich
12. obsession with addressing people by their employment status - that irritates me and makes no sense : Chairman this, Attorney that, Team Leader this, Secretary that ?
13. obsession with treating richer people as if they're gods. Here we don't give a hoot how much money you have. We dont bend backwards or forwards for you. Respect is earned and not given because you were born rich. We don't get out of the way to let you pass. Period!
14. SCHOOL/UNIVERSITY BULLYING!!!!

How is it the judicial system is still that antiquated? Like still living in the Joseon dynasty. FR! Why is the law so loose that people literally get away with murder and attempted murder? THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN JAILED! But you know what, with the way we've seen the Police portrayed, I'm all for this type of justice.

This drama, as with other dramas, is shining a light on these issues, but still the law does nothing about it. It's very concerning and finally showing the world that S. KOREA IS not all KPop, rainbows and beautiful people like we see in Goblin. Secretary Kim. BUT IS ACTUALLY A SQUID GAME.

A great watch

This was such a great drama. Well-acted by all.
I just had issues with the female actors. The Team Leader was strong, decisive and brave - until she came face to face with her abductor. Then she became such a weakling and literally a blithering coward. Yes trauma does things to people, but one part she's badass and all brave to catch him, and then when she sees him, she literally becomes 6 years old and a trembling victim.

Why didn't the directors maintain that brave attitude when she confronted him and fight to the end? I had issues with that. She literally became a statue and let him come to her and make her a victim again, without even fighting. That was such a letdown. She's all talk when she doesn't see him and literally useless when he's in front of her.

The second lead actress always got herself into trouble and had Zero fighting skills. How stupid for a police officer! Both of them rushing to do things by themselves and not asking for assistance and then crap happens. Everytime. And then they cry! Why? You got the fellow cop killed because of your secrets.

So annoying. But a great drama . The serial killers were so good and everything was so realistic. ALL IN ALL, GREAT ACTING.
