That's a rather curious take. From my experience, if you've known someone who died by suicide, it doesn't matter…
Not oversimplifying choices made by individuals who choose to end their lives. As I stated, I've lived this horror. When a person makes this unfortunate choice, oftentimes their minds are already made up. Even a cry for help and help given doesn't always change what overwhelming misery they may be feeling inside. Some people can overcome the immense, deep-seated pain; some cannot.
Besides my own close family member, I personally know of others who have made the same choice. Was it for the same reason? I don't know that. Ultimately, no one can be blamed for another person's choice to end their life.
Only the people left behind can feel the torture of what has happened to their loved one. There are too many emotions that one goes through for someone else to say you're simplifying what happened. In the end, acceptance of their choice is dreadfully painful, but reality dictates that in order not to be trapped in the sorrowful past, you have to decide to move forward.
There is so much more to this story than the age gap and age of consent.People are curious about how KSH may have…
Nevertheless, unless anyone was there in any aspect personally, it is easy to assume what may have taken place. Essentially it is his life. We don't have the right to judge it. I won't! I don't know him. I just pray for him and her family.
I wonder how many people here have dated an underage person? Because he is a public figure doesn't give anyone the right to pass judgment, since their lives are not free from guilt.
How many of you have been accused of doing something and your name spread throughout your community, but you had no defense? Some Asian countries can not handle gossip. It is akin to wearing a scarlet letter; even if the gossip isn't true, you've been branded.
Think about your lives and how imperfect they are before pointing a finger at someone else. Sweep your own doorstep before complaining about how much dirt is on another person's doorstep. Take that wooden beam out of your eye to see clearly. ***Since none of the accusers were personally present to witness his life during the alleged period, let him be. Unless you were actually in their time and space personally, you are only speculating about what happened.*** Consider yourselves and STOP!!
🌹🌹🌹 I am not being insensitive in saying this, but the young actress decided on her own to end her life. No one can blame another person for what she decided to do. I speak from personal experience. Who can understand a person's mental state at the time of their decision? No netizen can stand up and definitively say WHY she made this unfortunate choice, just as I can not understand why my loved one ended her life. 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for the commentary on the novel. It sounds like a horrifying read. However, Speed and Light is Speed and Light...Love for You is Love for You. Each drama deserves to be viewed on its own merits. I don't believe they will be the same for me. I have seen Speed and Light, and it was good. I have not seen Love for You because I am patiently waiting for all the episodes to air. Similar storylines? Not sure, but the different actors will determine whether or not they are similar. Thank you for your viewpoint.
Would hate to be a Korean much less a actor or actress and go thru a fan base so vile.
They expect so much from the people who are just trying to earn a living by entertaining them, that they forget about the skeletons in their own closets they are hiding from friends and family. HYPOCRITCAL!
Someone said God knows everything that happened, and He does! What this man endured is a test of his faith in God. I am very happy that the Lord has given him a testimony of overcoming hardship.
Got so sick of the LBL comparisons throughout. i feel like a bunch of people found Pursuit of Jade etc and suddenly…
Pursuit of Jade was okay. It was not the best drama I've watched. The ending was a rushed disappointment. The two leads had great chemistry, but that's really about it. War, and predictable outcomes made the drama redundant to other like C-dramas. K-dramas are different because of their different culture. There is no comparison, really.
Hi, I'm not sure we were watching the same drama. Episode 1, if you remember, sets the foundation of the entire drama. You hit the nail right on the head when you said Haun'er was pulled into a "cheesey" romance novel. That was her stance from the beginning, when she was reviewing the romance novel on her livestream. Her attitude was that she didn't believe in a romantic, sacrificial kind of love, and the characters in the novel only strengthened her resolve. So when she "transmigrated" into the 90's, she went back to a time when people had to face each other emotionally without relying on the technology she was used to in 2025. Why did she want to go back? 1999 was not her era. Her life, regardless of what it was like, was the one she lived every day, her routine.
Haiming was a recluse from relationships because of his parents. Their relationship was a disaster! He also had trust issues because of what happened with his mom when he was a young child. His aim was to better his company without interference from his dad, who wanted to set him up with a woman he did not care for just to benefit the business.
This drama was hilarious, because most of the time, Haiming was clueless about Haun'er's deadpan responses. She pulled off what was great comic timing. The chemistry between the lead characters was spot on. I am not sure what viewers consider chemistry today, but it was not lacking here. They fell in love with each other without being physical. Naturally, she no longer wanted to go back to 2025. Her heart was in 1999 with Haiming.
The secondary characters helped to tell the story. Their presence was essential to give history of who Haun'er was at that time. How was she supposed to interact with them in the 90s as a futuristic woman? Lin Haun Er was the female lead's name in the book, and so was Gao Hai Ming's name in the book and in 2025.
While ideally, the ending would have been perfect if it were more in-depth, it was the completion of a sweet, quiet, gentle, and supportive love between two people who had never given their hearts to anyone before. Their characters developed well.
My page in the 90s did not have to be loud and overacted. It is a brilliantly written script, performed by two amazing leads. That's my opinion.
Can you tell me plz if the ML in fiction world is the same as in real life or not?
He appeared in the first episode as Mr. Gao before she was transported into the novel. I've only watched the teasers for the last few episodes, but he seems to recognize her when she visited the airplane museum. When he saw her there, he said, "Long time no see."
The drama was a symbolance of the rise of the solar panel industry ad it's dominace worldwide, so like a medical show, appopriate terms were used.
I'm not sure we watched the same drama.
The styling was appropriate for the time as it was in the early 2000's. They dressed them well as a wealthy businessman and a female college student./graduate/newly employed young woman not hung up on fashion. or spending mony insensibly.
Xiguang's father did nothing for her except care and concern for his conniving first love's lying daughter. He never acknoeledged what happened to Yu Sen was because of his wicked firs love's daughter., and he never apologized to Yu Sen either.
Did Zhuang Xu really release Xigaung, or did he finally realize he had not chance with her, therefore needing to apologize, but too afraid and embarassed to do so? After all those years, he was still single, even thogh Chris was still very much in love with him.
The wedding was implied; it wasn't visually necessary. Inshort, your ratings are confusing.
Thank you allowing me to rebutt your review. I hope I didn't offend you I any way as that was not my intention. I appreciate the differences in opinion.
Yes, everyone is different. I have watched many dramas that were not overtly physical where the two leads connected…
Yusen explained later that she was among the people he met through the guy that called him on the phone after surgery. Thank you the interaction. #BLESSINGSIN2026
Thank you for sharing your viewpoint. Xiguang and Yusen met through their mutual friend, but she doesn't remember him. Their feelings for each other have been developing slowly. Intimacy is more than physical. What is the purpose of connecting physically when their characters don't really know each other? Their characters are building a solid foundation of trust and unwavering support for one another. Unless you forgot, Zhaungxi didn't think she was good enough for him. That's why he never initiated a real relationship with her. He didn't stand up for her when she was accused of not delivering a message from Sheynguang. He allowed Rong to treat their relationship ambiguously. His character has no life at all. He is stiff as cardboard. We have our differing opinions. I am thoroughly enjoying "ShineOne Me".
Besides my own close family member, I personally know of others who have made the same choice. Was it for the same reason? I don't know that. Ultimately, no one can be blamed for another person's choice to end their life.
