I plan to rewatch that part (I think it's in ep26), but thought of asking here. It's about XWY as Xiao Sheng.…
Hi! Yes, that's how I understand it too. But that scene in front of Xiao Sheng's grave in the flashback, where they told the young XWY/CP Wen Xi, "From now on, you are Xiao Sheng" (something like that), got me confused.
Hello! I have a question on a flashback scene β¬οΈ:
I plan to rewatch that part (I think it's in ep26), but thought of asking here.
It's about XWY as Xiao Sheng. I thought that he assumed his identity since birth, and only found out that he is CP Wen Xi after Xiao Yao's accident that caused his handicap. But in the flashback scene when XWY was talking about his past, it appears that he was given Xiao Sheng's identity after Qizhou's fall (in front of Xiao Sheng's grave).
A question: Did he know before that part that he is CP Wen Xi, although he was adopted by Xiao Ju since he was a baby?
EDIT: I rewatched that scene in episode 25 and it's consistent with my understanding. XWY clearly mentioned that he only found out his real identity when they were being chased by the Beiqin soliders, and the night envoys rescued him. So that answered my question. This is one case where rewatching a scene clears up the confusion. I removed my 2nd question, 'coz I got it mixed up with another scene π.
More thoughts after finishing this last night (after a good night's sleep):
The cast are excellent, especially Neo Hou and Ai Mi. Both of them nailed their roles and they have quite good chemistry β€οΈ! Merxat as Prince Ying (Eagle Lord) also gave a good performance, though he does not have many scenes. Other supporting cast did quite well too π.
I like that the drama's pacing is consistent from start to finish; even the last 4 episodes are properly spaced out and not rushed π.
The plot twists kept me engaged throughout the drama. Even the extra clip after episode 28's ending theme gave a twist that made sense . I do have a question on one plot point but I think I'll rewatch that part, or ask around later π.
I appreciate the fight scenes; they are well-choreographed, e.g., XWY fighting with a red clothe as blindfold.
I love the ending! I'm glad it's very clear and not vague/open-ended.
I love the OST, which is very fitting for the drama. Neo Hou's opening theme and his duet with Zhang Bi Chen are excellent π―.
Just finished it and I love how they wrap up the story πβ€οΈπ―! I want to rewatch at least the last 2 or 3 episodes (maybe tomorrow), but for now, it's time to sleep π. Btw, watch until the end, there's an extra clip after the ending theme.
I thought I was never going to finish his dramas as well. But now I started to think that I might have started…
I've watched "Fangs of Fortune", "Glory" and then KttPH. I tried "A Girl Like Me" but didn't finish it (somehow I can't feel the chemistry with the FL, and story's just Ok). I'm thinking to watch "Love in the Clouds" or "Back from the Brink" next.
Li Mao is obsessed with power and winning over Xiao Wu Yi. His actions just negate whatever good he has accomplished (in large part, due to XWY). Finally, XWY has lost his stretched out patience and tolerance for him (δ»θ³δΉε°½)!
One thing Xie Jia Yu said to Li Mao in ep24 is very true:
"I don't understand you...I don't know when you are being real and when you are pretending..."
To those here who were confused about A Mao πππyou are not alone, even the characters in the drama are…
So true! Even XJY doesn't understand him (maybe she does at times), it's like the more he is in a powerful position, the more she can't get what he's really up to.
Been thinking about it before I fell asleep last night π.
