Neo Hou is adorable in the latter part where he had to be reborn and act like a child 😄. He is quite versatile.

I finished this drama a few days ago. It got stuck in my PTW list for quite some time and I wish I had started it sooner! I like the drama's story, the characters and their development, relationships (romance, friendships, etc.) and other themes. Neo Hou and Zhou Ye are convincing as Tian Yao and Yan Hui, respectively. They are the right fit for the roles and I love their chemistry! Overall, this is an enjoyable watch for me 💖.

I'm near the end of this series!
Xianxia is also not my favorite genre, but I do watch xianxia dramas every now and then. Same here, I like both Neo Hou and Zhou Ye ❤️.

I rewatched that scene in episode 25 and it's consistent with my (our) understanding. XWY clearly mentioned that he only found out his real identity when they were being chased by the Beiqin soliders, and the night envoys rescued him.
