Eps 25 & 26 did not disappoint 😊. All the patience and waiting are worth it! Can't say this enough: Love the chemistry, passion, and sweet/romantic moments of SY and XQ 😍! I also appreciate that the drama showed the trauma experienced by some firefighters after the harrowing rescue operation, & how they're recovering. I want to watch these 2 eps again before starting ep 27 later 😊.

Agree with your assessment. I find Yang Yang's acting here to be on point. He is witholding many of his emotions, hence, the micro-expressions and subtle body movements. I've known YY as an actor for some time already, but like you, I had barely started on his other dramas (there are just too many good dramas to watch, and limited time to watch them). But because of FOMH, I plan to start watching his previous works (at least those that are already in my list)!

Episode 23 has so many emotional moments. I was teary-eyed in some scenes, such as when Jiang Yi faced the likelihood that his Mom and aunt might not make it; cried in others, such as XQ searching for SY and she said (or shouted), "he is my life", and when she went down the rubble to check his condition and said, "Don't leave me behind". 😭 The entire rescue scene of SY is well done.

I cried in those scenes. Ep 23 has so many emotional moments.

The last rescue scene in episode 22 where they delivered the baby from the mother who just died is so touching and poignant. It's like saying that despite all the sufferings, deaths and damages caused by the earthquake, there is hope brought about by this new life. And I feel it's indirectly saying there is definitely hope for SY and XQ!

P.S. So glad that iQIYI leaked episode 23, and thanks to those who shared it here. At least I can watch one more episode today (was quite busy yesterday so I only watched ep 22).

She is also in "Oh My General" as Liu Xi Yin, the cousin of the FL General Ye Zhao (played by Sandra Ma). That's her first drama. Check it out if you have time, I highly recommend it :).

Well said! You explained it very clearly. And I agree with your other comment that there are some thoughts and reasonings in novels (generally speaking, bec. I haven't read the novel for this) that are sometimes hard to translate into drama unless there is a narrator. So drama adaptations in most cases are not 100% the same as the novels they are based on.

Yes I love her response too! 😆 The blind date was telling her that his mother likes her and wants her to marry into his family and "enjoy" life, and also that their qualifications match. I was like, "Really, saying that on your first date/meeting?"

I really wish they would give us 2 episodes tonight and tomorrow.
