I KNOW!! We were all screaming "WTF!?!" at the ending!! The only "happy" ones were those who'd thought Zoey was sus from the beginning, but no, it made zero sense...which is probably par for the course with Playboyy (which often made no sense), but what???
Some time ago (maybe a year?), the production company Copy A Bangkok, put out a post on X, I think, to say there was a casting call for the second season of Playboyy, so that briefly got our hopes up that they would be able to explain things and give us a proper ending, though if they were going to cast new actors not sure how that would happen, but since then we've heard nothing.
We should all probably take it as a truly a once-in-a-lifetime ride with an unhinged series because I don't think we're going to get any closure.

Agreed! I was NOT expecting that ending at all. I had assumed that Jom would meet the "modern" version of Yai, like his sister and his ex and the ex's gf are all modern versions of people from the past, and that he and modern Yai would have a connection (obviously Jom would recognize him and the modern Yai would like sense something/have chemistry but not recognize Jom) and they'd kind of start from scratch...and since we KNOW they are destined to be together we'd understand that yay, this is Jom's true love, but what?? Yai himself turns up? He's been "at" the house the whole time? It just made zero sense to me.
