This is so good. Chill story and the characters are starting to get more lovable. I love it when the MCs are smiling happily and being talkative to each other.
Promising start but has complex and overexposed sequences
With the university-based concept, I almost didn’t care about the show. However, since it has well-known talented actors, I decided to binge-watch it and somehow didn’t disappoint (at some point). Characters were introduced smoothly and we were served with multiple pairings, which have pros and cons.
Hill and Easter were loveable until they were the highlight of a few consistent episodes. This will sooner become the flow of each pair and it’s kind of draining to see one couple if we have a few couples that can slowly show us each of their love progress. Due to this, it feels like the other pair is underutilized which badly led me to fast-forward the scenes from Hill and Easter, which will also happen to Johan and North after a few EPs.
But don’t get me wrong, Johan and North’s story saves the show. It makes me blush and giggle. But still not enough to completely uplift the obvious flaws of the drama. Writing this review, I am fully aware that the rest of the couples’ story is about to unfold in the sequel but I pity the opportunity to launch their chemistry in this show.
And now, let’s talk about my favorite part of this BL. The side couple, Tiger and Nao, devoured the MCs. They should also be in the official poster as their chemistry is top-notch. The minimal screen time wasn’t a big deal as they turned it into their absolute best. I am always eager to see more from them on each EP.
With the seventeen EPs, the overall impact was just average. But I can’t deny the fact that I enjoy both HillTer and JohanNorth at the start of their storyline. They may not have a unique plot or overflowing chemistry, but they still performed pretty well for a BL show. Looking forward to more of the other pairs in the sequel and I hope they turn these flaws into lessons to apply in the upcoming project.
EP08. Our soft-spoken couple finally stepped up and it all thanks to Jun by pushing Thame to be more courageous in his relationship. The confrontation through their favorite hobby, the arcade game, was creative. JunPo, you will be missed. Thank you for the short screen time for chemistry. I love it when the audience can feel the tension between the pair. The last scene was too hilarious and exciting. The way Po nervously gulped was the icing on that scene.
Yotha and Gun's turn of events is quite disappointing. Not giving Gun the assurance and telling him to wait until Yotha overcame his own feelings, and worse, keeping Gun from falling in love with others aside from Yotha, is alarming. Yotha's actions might lead to Gun's false hope of romance. Yet, we all know that they're gonna end up at the end, it was still annoying. Gun might hurt a few times, but this boy is still enjoying his time with Yotha, a red flag enjoyer indeed. I'm sorry, but at this point, I am fast-forwarding every scenes they had.
It has a rough start but eventually get used to the pacing. The introduction of the characters seems off yet enough to be likable. I hope we can see the improvement from the next EPs since the storyline is promising.
AuauSave is so freaking cute whenever they are lovey-dovey with each other. PorTeetee is always giving me butterflies! Teerak’s father is annoying. That’s it.
I am sorry but I can’t help but ship Jun and Po. They have a strong chemistry too and Jun was so hilarious. I am a big fan of the enemy-turned-lovers trope and JunPo is showcasing it to me hahaha. Anyways, Thame updating Po by sending photos was so cute!!
It was adorable that we still saw more fluffy moments from Fah and Teerak after becoming an official couple. On the other hand, we are getting the seriousness from Real and Hia’s love progress. Auau and Save did pretty great during their argument and I love how smooth the sequences are. Also, Fah’s family is so cute! Those daydreaming of Teerak was hilarious. Thomas suits being a villain too from those evil laughs he made during those short scenes.
Teerak is ready but I guess, the viewers are not yet ready. I didn’t anticipate the bed scene with too much spice. Yet, I love it. It's just that ThomasKong has these innocent vibes that I forgot that they’re in a company that excels in this kind of shots. Excuse me Thomas, but those tongue kisses are too hot to handle!
I am sad that there are no PorTeetee features in this EP after making us scream at their appearance from the last EP. Hoping to see more from them in the next EPs.
EP01 looks promising. I still can’t get over that I got to see Asahi again in a BL drama. All the cast members have pretty and handsome faces. I love the introduction, and the email conversations are cute!
EP05 is “when you’re jealous, you’re in love” kind of EP.
I love every single Thame-Po-Jun scene and it makes me crazy. The EP started with Jun crossing the road with Po then ended with Thame; a peak story sequence. Jun also has that chemistry with Po, which is why I wanted to see more of them in the upcoming EPs. Yet, I will always be a ThamePo fan at the end of the day. It's just that, jealousy is always the icing of a romance show.
Pepper is the MVP of the EP as his love advice leads Thame to realise that he actually likes Po. His character seems like a supporting role all this time, and I am glad that the highlight of the next EP will be centered around him.
I theorized that Jun is either like Po or helping his friend Thame. Nevertheless, no matter what his actual motives, I admire his happy-go-lucky personality. Sometimes, Nut acted similar to Doc Jimmy. Their facial expressions look the same.
Tiger and Nao should also be in the main poster. Their story is getting interesting and much better with the two main couples since I feel they're overexposed already.
I love them in Fourever You, and knowing that they have upcoming main character roles is exciting. But it's been one year since the pilot was released. Does anyone have an update on this show? The series might have a tragic story, and I'm a big fan of heavy drama.
