This show is making my blood boil. It has to be a revenge story and not a love story anymore on how cruel things happened to Joe after the encounter with Ming. If the series pushes the two to the end, I will give this a poor rating. Nobody in the world deserves a hellish treatment from what Joe experienced.
If Joe doesn’t want revenge or chooses to live a peaceful life, he should better avoid any connection with the entertainment industry anymore and walk in towards his new life in a new body. This is more acceptable than letting Ming and Joe fall in love with each other.
One-sided love and the other’s feelings are unknown
It feels like some of Taiwan’s production teams in the entertainment industry are obsessed with incest-like romance. I know that China’s hit series, Addicted (Heroin), plays a big influence in the market but they need to stop since it wasn’t a good storyline to be used nowadays. Many people seem to love this and that’s okay since people have their subjective perspective on a show.
Wei Zhi Yuan’s roots in romance were understandable since he felt the warmth from being accepted and sheltered in a family. But Wei Qian’s love was silly; he acquired romantic feelings for the man he treated his brother for a lifetime and I felt like it wasn’t authentic. In the same way, San Pang grows an intimate relationship with the MC’s sister, Wei Li Li. It is unnecessary to let everyone end up and be paired together, especially in a small cast of characters. I might be hated on this but I can’t push myself to like the show.
As much as I pity Joe, I can't help but also feel upset to the fact that he put himself in that chaotic situation. He's already an adult to realize his self-worth. The boy is pathetically in love with the wrong person. How I wish that Joe ended up with someone who genuinely loves him. Sol fits this role.
I'm so excited for this movie but I get to know that it wasn't BL despite the marketing strategy they used from posters to promotions grrrr. I'm disappointed :(
The cutest BL couple for 2024. I just keep smiling the whole episodes. They have a super duper incredible chemistry and at a young age and rookie in the industry, they already surprass other actors in terms of acting. I love this show so much!
Joe is so soft and genuine. He doesn't deserve a jerk like Ming. If Ming doesn't happen to overhear Sol and Joe's talking about love, this man will never change his attitude towards Joe and continue treating him like someone who is under him. The title itself speaks about Ming's treatment of Joe.
I find myself not very interested in the door stories (to the point of zoning out and having no clue what is going…
maybe because the stories for each doors are derived from famous Chinese stories that is more interesting to locals than foreigners. But personally, I love the stories behind each doors
Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won -the King and Queen of bringing me to tears
It’s not the story alone but the actors themselves who make way for this drama to be notable and successful. No matter how good or bad a storyline is, the actors can reverse the situation depending on their talent in acting alone. As always, Kim Soo Hyun never disappoints, and he gives everything in his power to deliver us the Baek Hyun Woo that we all love right now. Unquestionably, he is the highest-earning Korean actor in the industry because the man is always here to slay his designated character. The show became even more powerful with Kim Ji Won joining his side to carry out a tear-jerker romance with undying chemistry from start to finish. As an avid K-drama fan, it’s always been my pleasure to be their supporter.
I got this love-and-hate feeling during the first half of the drama. Aside from the main characters, the rest of the cast is annoying without a decent share of the story. The Chaebol family was outsmarted by a small group of villains who share the same brain cell with them -stupid and fool. I am unconvinced how these antagonists managed to take everything from them with the usual plot. The family members of Hyun Woo except for his mother were also a pain in the eyes during the early set of episodes. Everything became more enjoyable after the two families lived under one roof and fixed everything gradually.
The epilogues for every episode were always their best part. It never failed to make me cry and be in awe of the love and care that Hyun Woo and Hae In have for each other. Until the end, tears just keep flowing during the epilogue scenes. The set of OSTs also contributes a lot to the overall impact that the show has. Queen of Tears breaks TV records and has excellent ratings. Yet, I will not give them a perfect score since obviously they have flaws but still managed to make it to the top. In Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, I put my trust in always bringing the best from every project they had.
I like the casting but I don't want to feel disappointed later on because few of the cast are honestly not that good at acting but almost half of them have already proven their capability in acting so I'm excited too. The K-drama version was one of my favorites, so I am a little bit scared of my high expectations from this version
